Opened early-2015 by the owners of La Camelia sushi takeaway. In addition to vegetable sushi, this food bar also offers organic wine, juice, and cake; spreads and hummus; seitan, tofu, and tempeh with sweet and sour sauce umeboshi; and more. In the the center of Bilbao, close to the river and town hall, with plenty of seating. Open Mon-Thu 13:30-23:00, Fri-Sat 13:30-00:00, Sun 13:30-23:00.

Decepcionante - Edit
Tenia muchas expectativas en este local vegano. Sin embargo, no cumplió con ninguna de ellas y tanto yo como mis acompañantes salimos muy decepcionados. A continuación explico el por qué:
Read more- Comodidad: las mesas y sillas de la terraza a parte de ser pequeñas en exceso son muy incómodas. En una de esas mesas el máximo número de comensales debería ser 2, en ningún caso 3.
- Carta: no todos los platos de la carta están disponibles. Lo cual nos resultó sorprendente ya que la carta estaba renovada en su reapertura hace pocos días. Un ejemplo es la sopa de miso, solo disponible en invierno.
Además, pedimos una pita de seitan, que para nuestra sorpresa resultó ser un sándwich y no fuimos los únicos clientes sorprendidos por esto al recibir el plato. Si no es una pita... Deberia de detallarse o explicarse de alguna manera para evitar confusiones.
- Comida: el sushi es mediocre. Las combinaciones no fueron de nuestro agrado aunque esto puede variar segun el paladar de cada persona. Aun asi, el alga noriestaba pasada (llevaba mucho tiempo hecha) y los makis eran prácticamente todo arroz.
Tambien pedimos unoas gyozas que venian con el borde duro (desconocemos el motivo) lo que no nos dejo apreciar nada mas del plato. El relleno de las gyozas parecia muy pobre.
El sándwich (llamado pita) solamente sabia a salsa, que aunque estaba rica ocultaba cualquier otro sabor.
El empedrat, fue el único plato que se salva de lo que pedimos, pero también es cierto que una ensalada de garbanzos tan básica es difícil que este mala.
- Servicio: muy lento. Esperamos mucho, el camarero era perfectamente consciente del mal servicio y se disculpó en varias ocasiones.
-Precio: los platos no eran caros, pero esto no justifica la calidad del producto servido.
Nos pareció una iniciativa muy buena la de intentar eliminar el residuo en su restaurante y fue un reclamo para acudir pero no para volver ...

A very good experience. Nice staff, good food (we had burgers) and drinks (green juice/wine) at reasonable rates. We were only missing desserts and coffee, but the all vegan bakery is just 600m away.

I enjoyed the atmosphere at the restaurant but the employees weren't the friendliest. They have quite a big menu. I chose the sandwich and the gyoza but they both weren't as good as I had expected them to be unfortunately.

Pequeno restaurante vegan no centro de Bilbau. Fomos almoçar sem reserva, pelo que tivemos que aguardar um bocado por mesa. Têm esplanada exterior mas estava muito frio... O espaço é pequeno e acolhedor. O serviço muito simpático e eficiente. Pedimos húmus e guacamole (estavam óptimos). Pedimos creme de legumes e sopa miso (óptimas). Pedimos hambúrgueres (muito bons, pena não virem acompanhados de batata frita). Para sobremesa pedimos arroz doce e bolo de cenoura, ambos excelentes!!!

My husband and I were kind of disappointed since the sushi that we were so looking forward eating wasn’t good at all. Likewise, the gyozas were average. However, the sandwich, olive pate and atmosphere were good.

Menú de sushi vegano. Menú completo de 6 sushis con arroz integral más dos opciones de acompañamientos entre sopas, ensaladas y otras opciones bien buenas. Los sushis no nos gustaron tanto porque hemos probado mejores.

Really sweet little vegan bar not too far from the Guggenheim! Really nice place for a drink and snacks. Definitely worth a visit whilst in the Bilbao area, but note it closes at 10pm.

Me and my boyfriend come here whenever he's in bilbao and we enjoy it. The staff are friendly, there's a good variety of food. A little expensive some of it but other things we find are good value like the burgers. For us it's a perfect honest ingredients option that we continue to go back.

Had a late lunch with my non-vegan family who all enjoyed it. Fair play to them they threw themselves into it and side stepped the excellent sounding burger and had a Seitan sandwich and a smoked tofu sandwich with a guacamole and a hummus starter with carrots and bread to accompany it. It all tasted exceptionally and very very fresh. Highly recommend even for the non vegans in your life...The staff were great as well and to top it off they were playing a Edwyn Collins/Orange Juice playlist! What’s not to like?

We had wanted to order different cocktails but they weren’t available - which is fine because the mojito was lovely.

Read moreI took the 13,50€ menu that contains 6 varied makis + 2 sides (chose hijiki seaweed salad and tomato gazpacho).
They have a variety of vegan dishes and snacks such as sandwiches with tofu tempeh or seitan, dips of guacamole hummus etc, drinks including kumbucha and a great selection of Yogi Teas, and dessert of the day.
Gazpacho was super creamy and tasty. The makis were made from whole rice 👍🏻 and stuffed with : ensalada, aguacate, sprouted beans and marinated radish, sprouted beans and marinated ginger, bell pepper with I assume a purple hummus, and last but not least tahini and sultans 🤤. Hijiki came with lotus root and sesam seasoning like the wakame salad one.
It just would be great to open a bit earlier (currently 1:30 pm).

On our pintxos crawl in Bilbao, we were so excited to try this wonderfully reviewed little restaurant. However, upon arriving, the hostess was less than welcoming and told us the options requested were not available, despite the fact they were being served from the kitchen in that moment to many people. We ordered the sushi menu, wakame salad, and gyozas. The sushi was sadly disappointing, crunchy with strange ingredients, such as mustard and only lettuce. The miso soup came from a powdered box, tasteless and unappealing. The gyozas never arrived, and the "wakame salad" was neon green and slimy, suggesting less than fresh ingredients. We do not understand such high reviews of the establishment, we came in on a busy night, but even then the food quality was very poor and the service was uninviting. We would suggest a pintxos crawl elsewhere.
