Opened early-2015 by the owners of La Camelia sushi takeaway. In addition to vegetable sushi, this food bar also offers organic wine, juice, and cake; spreads and hummus; seitan, tofu, and tempeh with sweet and sour sauce umeboshi; and more. In the the center of Bilbao, close to the river and town hall, with plenty of seating. Open Mon-Thu 13:30-23:00, Fri-Sat 13:30-00:00, Sun 13:30-23:00.

ES - Muy buena comida con amigable servicio. Siendo vegana, cada vez que tengo ganas de comer sushi sé que este es el sitio al que venir. Es más agradable sentarse fuera en la terraza. Recomiendo pedir el menú sushi - viene con 6 makis y 2 elementos a elegir entre varios del menú. La última vez que fui, probamos las gyozas, que nos recordaron a la cultura marinera euskaldun por su forma de barco navegando en un mar de salsa de soja. ¡La olivada es imprescindible para los amantes de las aceitunas! Se sirve con pan y zanahorias (gora celíacos!). La ensalada de garbanzos (no recuerdo el nombre en la carta) venía con unas cuantas verduras troceadas que la hacían muy fresquita. Merece la pena probar la limonada, tiene gusto a jengibre. Sirven de grifo una cerveza local de Bilbao: La Salve. Buen precio, especialmente pidiendo el menú sushi.

I highly recommend getting the sushi menu - comes with 6 makis and 2 items to choose from amongst a few of the menu. We tried the gyozas, which reminded us of the Basque sailing culture with their ship-like shape sailing across a soya sauce sea. The olivada is a must for olive lovers! - served with bread and carrots (shoutout celiacs!). There is a chickpea salad with a few vegetables that make it very refreshing. Their lemonade is really worth a try, too - it has a gingery kick! It will certainly knock you off your chair. They also serve a local beer from Bilbao: La Salve. Fairly priced, especially with the sushi menu.

What a let down! We went for dinner. Reserved a table inside but found it outside. Only 2 staff that were rushed off their feet. Needless to say the service was terrible!
Read moreThe food was ok, not good enough to make me come back. We tried the gyozas😏, burger😑, miso soup 👎🏼 & sushi 🥴 My favorite was the new potatoes with green sauce that came with the burger…the rest was nothing to write home about.
The waiter only charged us for one miso soup instead of 2, coz he realized we didn’t like it. That was kind.

El sitio es una cucada, muy pequeñito, eso sí. Cada plato de la carta está hecho con mucha creatividad y esmero. Precisamente por eso supongo que el servicio tardó bastante ese día. Pero merece la pena la espera. Las pitad estaban espectaculares y los untables también muy buenos.

Lo mencionado, una caña y una limonada nos costó 26€.
Está bien para compartir con distinta gente, ya que tienen muchas cosas para picar. Sin embargo de "principales" a parte del menú de sushi, solo hay 1 hamburguesa y 3 sandwiches a elegir.
Personalmente no entiendo por qué este local tiene tan buena nota habiendo muchos mejores en Bilbao...

Leider konnte ich an einem Montag um 16.30 Uhr kein Essen bestellen. Dies wurde aber extra in der Speisekarte angeboten mit durchgängig geöffneter Küche. Getränke konnten bestellt werden und waren gut.
