Interesting vegan dishes

This small vegan restaurant had some dishes such as bulgogi and sushi that were interesting, and not always found in other places. The food itself was tasty, but on the expensive side for what it is. The service staff also seemed rather bored. Overall a nice experience, worth a try if you are nearby.

Pros: Tasty bulgogi

Cons: Disinterested staff

La Camelia Delivers

A genuinely enjoyable bar that is 100% plantbased, giving a decent choice of delicious food and drink. We had the first choice burger and the curcumin, handmade pitta tofu plate, washed down with a 500ml bottle of house vino tinto. We greedily added on the patatas option for both meals and heartily agreed what a wise decision we had made! Lovely food and surprisingly good wine, only outshined by the amazing service shown. (Thank you Uma Thurman, you know who you are!)

Pros: 100% vegan bar, Convenient location , Indoor and outdoor seating

Welcome vegan delight

La Camelia is a delightful vegan restaurant with a real Basque/Iberian character. The menu has several excellent options and the staff can guide you. I had the Burger la de Siempre with roasted potatoes and their ginger ale, followed by a truly delicious chocolate mousse. A must for vegans and anyone else visiting Bilbao.

Pros: Delicious vegan food, Friendly staff , Good selection

Cons: Small place

Great spot

There aren’t many fully vegan places so this was a real treat! A wide variety of cuisines- burgers, wraps, sushi!
I loved their seitan pita, and their vermouth is great too.
Highly recommend.

Was expecting a bit more

I had a decent vegan burger with vegan cheese and a side of pan fried potatoes. It was okay but not spectacular and I had been expecting more given the rave reviews.
To drink, I had the homemade ginger beer. It was a nice drink with apple included, but not very gingery.

Pros: All vegan menu

Cons: Poor service

Restaurante con la mayoría de platos veganos

Restaurante estrictamente vegetariano con la mayoría de platos veganos, muy cerca de la estación de tren de Bilbao. Recomiendo reservar.

Pros: Inmensa variedad de platos veganos, Gyozas veganas, Oita de tofu

Lovely staff and lovely food

Defo worth a visit, the staff were lovely, we asked to buy a box of the green tea a we really liked it, and they did not have any to sell but gave us one each to take away 🫶
Food was yummy and portions wede good size, i was not a huge fan of the sushi but that was preference, was not bad at all.

Amazing food!!

Really nice owner and amazing food!! My non vegan Mom and Step-dad were really happy too!! I had the seitan pita (I think it was called that) And the gyoza, and it was so good, my mom talked about it for literally 3 days, and told the owner 3 times how good it was!

Pros: Amazing Food, Incredibly Friendly Staff

Expensive and small portions

It’s the first time I’m disappointed in a vegan restaurant😒the food was good (nothing exceptional but good!) but the portions were the size of appetiser with the price of a dish in another country (13€, more expensive than a standard dish in Spain). It would have been ok to pay this price if the portions were bigger (my seitan tropical literally had 4 small bits of seitan in it) The wait was also long and service not friendly. It’s good cause it’s hard to find vegan food in Bilbao but if you’re not there for a long time, I would recommend the other vegan restaurant in this city. We didn’t try anything else but I hope that other things are more filling/more special.

Good food. Small portions, expensive.

Service was great. Location is great but the prices are way too high for the small portions.
I would suggest, unless money is no object, to find another place.

Pros: Quality of food, Location, Great tasting.

Cons: Tiny portions , Super expensive

Totally worth the wait

I went there after a skinpy breakfast and had a spread and the seitan pita. Totally recommended! The kitchen is small, so be prepared to wait and don’t come in a hurry! The food may be too salty to some, but it was just the way I love it for me!

Okay

We went here after reading several positive reviews. Unfortunately, we were disappointed as the food was quite flavorless. It could use some seasoning and maybe more «interesting» ingredients. The soup was great though.

Pros: Soup, Affordable

Cons: Needs seasoning, Needs flavor

Lovely little vegan restaurant

We went on a very busy Saturday night and luckily managed to get a table for 2. We had the gyozas and bulgogi, both delicious.

Disappointed

Ate here a few days ago. Had the burger / sandwich with seitan and SO had the one with tofu. It has the merit to exist, but if you can go somewhere else, you should. Or at least order something else. It wasn't very tasty and it was terribly overpriced for what it was. No one should use tofu without marinating it in a sandwich in which it's the main ingredient 🥲

Pros: Server is nice, Terrace places

Cons: Overpriced, Recipes can be improved
