I am concerned about the welfare of the cats in this establishment. Two of them appeared to be very fearful, and neither the customers nor the staff seemed to respect their boundaries. They remained completely still for several minutes, staring into space. Other cats were sleeping and were constantly being woken up by customers who insisted on petting them. This even happened to cats that had climbed to higher areas specifically to avoid human interaction.
Read moreThe waitress did not explain to customers how to interact appropriately with the cats, even though this should be the highest priority. There was only a small notice in the menu, placed after all the food and drink pages, which is clearly insufficient since most people do not read it and no verbal guidance was provided. The waitress herself approached and petted the cats without first making her presence known, causing one cat, who already appeared stressed, to startle.
There was far too much foot traffic and noise. The venue is open every day, meaning the cats have no day of rest. In addition, it was very hot inside.
For a 100% vegan restaurant that houses living animals, it is unacceptable not to prioritize animal welfare and respect for their boundaries above all else. Profit seems to come first, while the cats appear to be there primarily for customers' entertainment.
On a positive note, the food was very good and the waitress was friendly.
Nevertheless, I would not recommend this place. In such a busy environment, certain behaviors toward living animals should simply not be tolerated.

Inquiétude pour les chats présents. Deux d'entre eux semblaient très craintifs et personne ne respectait leur consentement (ni les clients, ni le personnel). Ils sont rester assis sans bouger pendant plusieurs minutes à regarder dans le vide. D'autres dormaient et se faisaient constamment réveiller par les clients qui voulaient absolument les caresser... cela arrivait même pour les chats qui se mettaient en hauteur pour éviter le contact humain.

Il y avait une petit affiche dans le menu après TOUTES les pages de nourriture et boissons, ce qui n'est pas dutout suffisant car personne ne la lit et rien n'est expliqué oralement. La serveuse elle même ne prévenait pas les chats avant de les caresser ce qui a fait sursauter un des chats qui avait l'air déjà stressé.
Il y a beaucoup trop de passage et de bruit. Le lieu est ouvert TOUS les jours, les chats n'ont donc aucun jour de repis!!! De plus, il faisait très chaud.
Pour un restaurant 100% vegan avec des êtres vivants, cest un scandale de ne pas mettre la priorité sur le consentement et le bien-être animal avant tout ! La priorité est mise sur le profit et les chats sont là pour divertir.
Point positif : la nourriture était très bonne et la serveuse sympathique.
Ce lieu reste à éviter. Pour des êtres vivants dans un lieu autant frequenté, certains comportements sont à bannir absolument !!!

Burgers were really good, with a big side of salad. Dessert was The best parte, really. The staff was super friendly and, of course, there are cats chilling there, which makes the experience great. We had to wait about 20 mins to get in since we didn't have a reservation.

Delicious food in a wonderful environment surrounded by very relaxed cats. Definitely felt like the cats were the most important thing here and they were all rescue cats, their well-being was clearly the priority. Definitely check it out.

One of my fave places we visited in Berlin, will defo be back! Gorgeous cats and amazing vegan food. Extensive menu with breakfast, sandwiches, burgers and bowls (I'll add pics of menu). We had planted steak and fries, chilli con fritten and rainbow bowl - good portion size and really flavourful. We also had iced coffees which were made with ice cream and whitted cream - incredible!

The new Katzentempel in Berlin Mitte is a real value add to the vegan community in Berlin. You can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner and everything you could wish for is on the menu. The staff is great and you get good recommendations. We will be back soon!

The food had a bit too many leaves compared to the rest of it but the rest of the dish was yummy. Unless it's a specially designed leafy dish they're usually kind of an after thought and taste as such. But the scramble tofu eggs were yummy.
Read moreThere were 6 cats when we visited, almost all asleep or sleepy and one in the back where the cats have a private space for themselves. Like others mentioned they give advice on how to behave around the cats which is nice for their wellbeing.

Amazing flavoured food in a friendly, cosy and clean atmosphere. Bit pricey but you get what you pay for. The paw shaped dessert is great, it's a very flavoursome chocolate and peanut moose covered in chocolate. Dumplings with salad were also amazing. The cats were quiet and adorable.

Make sure you book, gets reserved real quick (super easy to book online) the food here was really tasty better than we expected and good portion sizes, we shared a breakfast. You must get a hot drink, comes with the cutest cat paw on and the snickers dessert comes as a law and tastes incredible ! A must. The cats roam freely and we had one come over for loving 😍 went to sleep next to my husband.

Although the kitchen closes at 20.15 hrs we gave it a try at 20.30 hrs. If we decided what to eat within 10 minutes we could still eat overthere. The staff is very friendly and helpful with giving us information about the cats. At the moment there is a group of six cats living inside the Temple. They have plenty of space and lots of play furniture. Inside is also a small shop for clothing and souvenirs. On the menu they offer quite a lot of meal options. All vegan! We ordered mango smoothie, berry smoothie, acai vanilla bowl, temple sandwich, temple burger and tiramisu. Service was quick and all meals tasted excellent. The tiramisu was addictive....

Really lovely cat café/restaurant. Everything is clearly designed with the cats’ wellbeing in mind, and the atmosphere is super cosy. The burgers aren’t very big, but they’re really tasty.
Read moreI was a bit surprised (and honestly a little uncomfortable) to be rushed to pay while my partner was in the bathroom, especially since we hadn’t finished our drinks and the place wasn’t about to close. Despite that awkward moment, we’re still happy we visited and enjoyed the overall experience.
