Hands down the best okonomiyaki we’ve had while living here. We tried both of the vegan ones available and they were amazing!! Recommended to get the vegan egg added.

they cook everything on the same skillet and don’t use clean spatulas for vegan and if you are a solo diner, you’ll be seated at the counter and see all the meat and egg cooked in front of you

Authentic Hiroshima okonomiyaki. We got vegan cheese, vegan egg and soy meat added. It was amazing. One chef cooking it all. We had a little wait of less than 10 minutes. Best okonomiyaki we have had in Japan. Even got special vegan mayo and okonomiyaki sauce to go with it.

Vegan Hiroshima style okonomiyaki!!! - Edit
Absolutely incredible vegan options. There are 2 vegan options with loaadssss of vegan side options. There’s just 1 legendary guy cooking all the food and one person serving the tables. It’s such a lovely atmosphere, it’s not far from the war museum which was nice as it’s in a walking distance and then it was only a 30 minute walk back to Hiroshima station. Me and my girlfriend shared the 2 vegan okonomiyaki options and they were both incredible (the udon cheese and egg one was probs my fav), they’ve got vegan mayo which (weirdly) SLAPS with both noodle options, the vegan cheese is brilliant and the vegan egg alternative. Very reasonably priced I thought… ¥1200 and ¥1350 for the mains and most of the sides were around ¥700, honestly it’s so worth it. One of the best meals we’ve had in Japan for SURE, if you’re in Hiroshima and want some authentic vegan Japanese food hit this spot for sure.

Here I ate an incredible okonimyaki! The place was small (maybe fifteen seats) and was upstairs, but it is not a place that you sit for so long so it is worth waiting, because as I said, the food was delicious! There were several different vegan options, I chose one with udon noodles with extra topping, vegan cheese. Go here if you are in Hiroshima!

Amazing okonomiyaki and a great atmosphere! The staff were super friendly and kind. The vegan one was so flavorful and just satisfying. The vegan side dishes are so tasty and there are plenty of options. I really enjoyed my time, it was great. Highly recommended!

Had the two vegan mains and they were absolutely incredible. Maybe some of the best food we've had in Japan. Super satisfying crispy noodles ok the bottom. The vegan egg and cheese substitutes were awesome. They have a vegan specific menu, and they provide vegan specific sauces.

During our 3 day trip to Hiroshima we went here twice! The vegan options are collected on a separate page of the menu. Both, the Okonomiyaki and the Jirokichi were “oishii”. Sitting at the counter is also a nice experience, as you watch how the chef prepares the food. The chef was also very considerate and he cooked the meat for the other guests on the other side of the grill away from us, using different tools, without us asking.

The place is on the second floor of a building but easy to find. The okonomiyaki is amazing and so far the best food i had in japan. Because of the vegan egg and soy meat as possible toppings you dont feel like missing out on anything either.

They have a separate vegan menu with okonomiyaki and vegan egg roll (forgot the name in Japanese) with the chance of adding some toppings. The vegan egg roll was AMAZING, I definitely recommend it!

we had very good Okonomiyaki here, but we needed to wait 45mins for an opening as they are usually fully booked! if you order a vegan dish from the menu, they still ask you if „egg is okay“, so maybe say no if you‘re vegan 😂 they‘re really cool though and welcome people from all over the world (the walls are covered in handwritten reviews).

A little tricky to find as it’s on the second floor and they were full when we arrived, but they took our name and gave us a reservation to come back later, and I’m glad we did. Super friendly, great food and lots of choice - it suited me as a vegetarian and my husband as a meat eater. Don’t be too fussy though as they do cook the food on the same hot plate. I was relieved to find some genuine Japanese’s food that I could actually eat and was really tasty.

The vegan option had vegan cheese, vegan egg and vegan sauces. Since my boyfriend is vegetarian, he got his Okonomiyaki with egg and cheese. It was clear that the chef had a good understanding what the difference is.
