Read moreWe ordered the fried shrimp plate with 2 sides (mac'n'cheese + corn casserole) as well as the spinach ravioli in marinara sauce with garlic bread plus a side salad.
Everything tasted really really good!
The salad was super fresh, the pasta delicious and the shrimp plate as yummy as comfort food can get. Tasty garlic bread!
Everything on the menu sounded great.
A real treat were the fantastic cakes - we had a cookies'n'creme chocolate cake and a mardi gras king cake.
The Imagine Vegan Cafe has a hand selected variety of microbrew beers and is really top notch for any beer lover.
The staff were the friendliest people ever - it sounds like an exaggeration but it is just plain and simply the truth.
The neighborhood is a cool place to go and is worth a stroll around the block.
We really were happy with our choice and we hope that Imagine Vegan Cafe will live a long and prosper life!

Came to Memphis for work and the vegan option was catered in from here. They served BBQ tofu sandwich with beans and potato salad, and wow it was incredible. Don’t sleep on something from here!

I cant say enough good things about their BBQ. One of the top things i missed when going vegan was a good BBQ and these guys took away any sense of of missing out when it comes to being vegan and enjoying a good BBQ.

We had the Memphis BBQ sandwich and chicken and waffles. Both were good. BBQ sandwich was sweet and the BBQ beans had more pepper. Should have substituted the Mac ‘n cheese for the fries. Fries were fine but not unique. Smoothie was good too.

This place is very welcoming and stands for social justice. The staff was super friendly, and they have a nice variety of menu items (all vegan). Some items were better than others, but you get a lot of bang for your buck and it definitely hit the spot. Didn’t try a dessert, but they all looked amazing! Favorite item was the wings. Overall, food was good, but the friendly staff and their outspoken advocacy really puts it over the top!

Yummy Vegan Dessert Break! - Edit
We had a sweet tooth right before heading out of town, so we stopped here for some desserts to go. We had a brownie that was fudgy with a decadent ganache and a slice of biscoff cheesecake that was creamy with a wonderful crust texture. We will definitely be coming back to explore more menu items soon!

We hit up this place every time we are in Memphis. Sometimes the food is really good and other times it is not. This last time was one of the times it wasn’t. I got the southern staple for the first time yesterday and it had a ton of garlic sauce on it and was SO salty. Forget trying to get anything even remotely healthy here. They don’t have a single dish that could even be considered healthy. Everything is full of oil, vegan cheese and mock meats and most of it is very salty. My husband really likes the bbq plate but the sauce was different this time, it had a very weird taste to it. The portions are huge so you’ll definitely get full here. It’s just such heavy rich food that you really don’t need such large portions.

Ordered the Vegan Memphis Sandwich Platter with seasoned greens. My favorite was the BBQ beans. The greens were pretty good the sandwich itself was tasty but I couldn’t finish it and barely touched the fries, it just was a lot of heavy food. Had to take a long walk to Overton Park afterwards.

Loved finding this place on our visit to Memphis. Not only do they have a large vegan menu, but they also had MANY amazing, homemade dessert options! That is something that always bums me out at non-vegan places is that even though I might find a vegan entree, they almost never have vegan desserts. Imagine had several cake options, brownies, pudding, and more. Heaven!!

OMG! You do not have to miss BBQ anymore as a vegan! This delicious restaurant has outdone the others that I have tasted with their BBQ sandwich! I would love it if non vegans would also try this as it has all the right tastes! The “meat” absolutely has the correct texture and the perfect amount of smoke, the sauce is sweet and tangy, the coleslaw adds crunch and creaminess, and soft bun brings it all together! We also ordered the collard greens which also hit the spot with garlic and just a hint of spice! The same perfect hint of spice and sweet in the baked beans was also delicious! The hush puppies were perfected crunchy on the outside soft and delicate on the inside! The huge serving of peach cobbler we got was the perfect amount of sweet with huge slices of peach! This will absolutely be our first stop every time we come through Memphis! Thank you so much Imagine Cafe for satisfying my craving for well done BBQ and southern classic I love so much!!

Was psyched to try this place and I really went for it. When in Memphis! Got the bbq platter, then the sides dinner bc I needed to try as many as possible, then added on the a la cart ckn, fish and shrimp, with corresponding sauces. All was excellent! Friendly staff and super cool space.

We were very hungry travelers and we ate good here! We had the Carolina popcorn chicken fries, buffalo wings, double bacon cheddar burgers, hush puppies, and BLT’s. All were delicious but I think the favorite was the Carolina popcorn chicken fries. Oh and add cheese to your entree’s side of fries 😋 Tasty vegan cheese is hard to find but this one is a winner!
