When the weather is hot, does not serve waffles. Open Mon 14:00-19:00, Fri 14:00-19:00, Sat-Sun 11:00-19:00. Hours vary on public holidays - please check website.

Eating their Liège waffle brought up child memories. These waffles are not easy to find in a plant-based version, so I was happy to get a very good one here, topped with a scoop of Stracciatella ice cream, which was perfect as well.

Hidden gem of Antwerp - Edit
I wish I lived in Antwerp just so I could visit this place more often!! I was absolutely wowed by the knowledgeable person serving us, I think she might be one of the owners. I was even allowed to choose for smaller portions in different flavors because I couldn't chose. I got Speculoos, strawberry cheesecake and straciatella. I do understand the reviews saying it's more watery than regular ice, but I didn't mind that at all: the flavors were standing out perfectly.

Great Ice Cream, Not the Best Timing - Edit
I was really looking forward to visiting a fully vegan ice cream shop – always a highlight when traveling. Unfortunately, the day we visited, there was a market taking place right in front of the store. The entire square was packed with stands and people, and as a result, the ice cream shop was completely crowded, both inside and out. There was a long queue, and all seating was taken. The staff seemed a bit overwhelmed by the volume of customers, which is totally understandable, but it made the atmosphere feel quite hectic.
Read moreTo make things worse, the person in front of us in line was complaining loudly about something, and it slowed down the entire process. Of course, this isn’t the staff’s fault – it just added some tension to the experience and made me want to order quickly and leave.
I ended up choosing one scoop of pistachio and one of cheesecake. Both were tasty, and the pistachio especially was rich, nutty, and super creamy. I probably would have tried a waffle or another flavor if the vibe hadn’t been so stressful, but under the circumstances, I kept it simple.
What I really appreciated was how subtly the place communicates that it’s fully plant-based. You see little “plant-based” signs here and there, but nothing in-your-face. It gave me the impression that many customers might not even realize it’s 100% vegan – which I think is really cool. It normalizes plant-based eating without making it a big deal.
There were so many unique and exciting flavors on the menu – I honestly wanted to try everything. The price per scoop was €3.80, which is definitely on the higher side, but for such high quality and artisan craftsmanship, I’m more than happy to pay it.
I would definitely come back another time, ideally on a quieter day, to enjoy the full experience in a more relaxed setting. The potential is absolutely there, and I’m glad a place like this exists.

A 100% vegan place. I've tried the Luikse waffle and affogato and it was perfect. The waffle was fresh and a good size, the ice cream in the affogato really tasted like an ice cream with a very silky texture. If you are in Antwerpen please come and take a visit the owners are a very sweet couple (a Belgium womanand a Portuguese man) and they are going to welcome you with a very big smile!

Good evening, I am truly happy you enjoyed our ice cream and appreciated the quality of the product. I am surprised however that you find our ice cream expensive. Our prices are the same as in other real gelaterias in Antwerp. Some are even more expensive. And they use cow milk. Our ingredients are vegan, mainly biological and everything is made in-house. We only work with real, quality ingredients. No colourants or artificial flavour enhancers. Our scoops are very generous and you can choose 2 flavours in 1 scoop. If you drink a beer or a glass of wine in any cafe, you easily pay 5 or 6 euro. And all they have to do is open the bottle and pour a glass. But we make that beer, that wine first, in-house, and with quality ingredients.
