Goodbye money - Edit
This is the best falafel I've had in Europe. And I have had a lot of falafel. They also have one in the Student Union at Leeds Student Union so not only my bank card but also my waistline are going to be threatened.

OK for a quick snack - Edit
My first visit here and I went for the Salad Bowl option (minus Olive Oil) and Mint Tea. I have to say I wish I had gone for the full hummus plate as the salad really was nothing to shout about, but the hummus itself was very tasty (though Caravansarai/Cafe Moor just outside the CornEx and in the market are even better). The falafel were a bit hard to break into but pretty tasty on the inside. Seemed to be missing some pitta bread but the mint tea is delicious!

Holy Humpit! - Edit
Before I start I have to say the falafel here have to be some of the best I’ve ever had! - Back to the slog of the review.
Read moreSituated in the gorgeous building that is the Leeds Corn Exchange, the Humpit is a delightful space, full of character and the same can be said for the staff and punters. The simple menu is perfectly tailored, focused on houmous, and falafel; I mean what more do you need? My mum and I both ordered the half and half option, which was a fresh pita, houmous, falafel and a fantastic selection of fresh and pickled salads. There’s an option of white or wholegrain pita, (which is brilliant, more places need to offer choice!) we went for wholegrain. Our meals were made fresh for us and arrived promptly. The falafel were flavoured to perfection and were fluffy, light and crisp; just as they should be, none of this greasy, wet nonsense! The portion size seemed a little too big when I received it, but there was nothing left at the end, it was just too tasty to leave anything!
As the menu is simple, the prices could be kept lower, so the meal was incredibly reasonable, I’d encourage anyone to swap other convenience meals in the area to visiting for a wholesome meal here, you won’t be disappointed. It’s just a shame the location is so far away from my home! I know I’ll be heading straight back to Humpit the very first chance I can get!
Pros: The best falafel in the area I'm sure!, Freshly made, wholesome and delicious, Lovely staff and atmosphere
Cons: Nothing!

Good but too much cabbage - Edit
My partner enjoyed his half and half wrap with falafel and hummus. Mine was good but there was too much cabbage - I found it weird to put cabbage in a wrap in the first place.

A convenient and tasty option - Edit
A popular post and they are delivering to good effect. A simple, relatively limited menu, but tasty and well presented. Enthusiastic high energy staff. Good to have a solely vegan establishment and to see it bustling at times. Good luck!

Worth a trip! - Edit
This is an amazing little place in the Leeds Corn exchange which is a trip worth in itself! I loved the choices and went for a half and half whole grain pita with falafel and hummus and it was absolutely gorgeous! This place will also convince non-vegans as it is not obviously advertised as such and therefore you wouldn't even know that you are in for some really great vegan food! The staff is also extremely friendly and accommodating! When visiting Leeds definitely take the time to go there, you won't regret it!

As a non vegetarian I think this place is fantastic and suitable for everyone. I would definatley recommend the Humpit Classic with the combo toppings which include mushrooms, salsa and falafels. This meal was very filling and washed down well with a fresh lemonade.

Pick one thing to do and do it well - Edit
Situated in the Corn Exchange Humpit (Hummus & Pitta) is an ideal place for a weekday lunch. The menu consists of two basic items.. The first is the pitta. You can choose to have it stuffed with falafel, hummus or (the one I usually go for) half and half. Whichever you choose comes stuffed full and is topped off with salad, a pepper and various sauces. For the price it's a taste sensation but it is very difficult to eat without spilling all over yourself. Particularly if you have to eat it on the go. The other option is a plated meal. I've only had this once and decided that the Pitta is the way to go. Be aware that this is a VERY popular lunchtime choice and you may need to queue to place your order. Seating is nearly impossible to find at peak times but the staff are very friendly.

Cliche but works - Edit
About the most stereotypical vegan food you can think of but woah! tasty! Best hummus I've had anywhere, and you can order a plate of everything if you can't choose. Mushrooms, salsa, chickpeas etc. Always an easy choice for me ;) Super filling. Last time I went they played awesome reggae music too. Can get busy over lunchtimes but since it's fast food you don't really wait for long.

Ok standard wraps inthe Corn Exchange - Edit
Pretty good hummus and falafel cafe - it was packed when I visited on a weekday lunchtime but despite this the service was friendly and I didn't mind waiting. The pita itself was ok, I would have preferred a little less salad and a little more falafel (it took me 15 minutes of munching through grated carrot and red cabbage before I actually managed to reach the falafel or hummus). The portions are good and very filling and I enjoyed the freshly squeezed juice.
Read moreOverall it was fine, although I'm not too sure if I would visit again as although it does what it says on the tin to an acceptable standard, the food wasn't exciting enough to make me want to go back.
Pros: friendly service, quite tasty, The Corn Exchange is pretty
Cons: a bit too much salad???, I feel embarassed saying the name, not overly exciting food - just ok

Simple but good - Edit
The Humpit is in the super fancy wanna be posh space that is called the Corn Exchange. But don't let that put you off too much. The prices are fair and the food good. There is a very limited menu but its a small kitchen and they don't pretend to be anything more than a quality falafel and humus outlet.

Nice for a quick meal, prices are good and portions big enough. My falafel was a bit too dry- definitely not the best one I had in my life but good for the UK fast food standards.

Perfect Stop Off - Edit
I recently went to Humpit and ordered the classic hummus bowl topped with falafel. The food was great and the portion sizes were excellent so you won't go hungry. This is a great place to stop off for some food with very attentive, friendly staff and is right in the middle of town located in the Corn Exchange. I will definitely go back again. Every city should have a Humpit.
