Large portions, relaxed service, menu sounds better than tastes - Edit
Fantastic decor, friendly and relaxed service (not somewhere to go in a rush), great menu but dishes didn't have the depth or complexity of flavour I was hoping for, sounded better than they tasted. More comfort food then healthy unfortunately.

Vegan all the way! Really good. 3 course meal for 4 with wine and beer £120. We were there for 2.5 hours. Lovely time. Will return!!!

Read moreStaff was very friendly, the interior looked so nice with all the different wood textures. Free water came with the meal. The food was lovely! We'll definitely be back, next time we're in Edinburgh!

Wonderful food. Shame we couldn’t drink the beers they sold there, on their own premises! Huge portions...one wrap would have sufficed for two of us.

We had dinner here and it was very good. We ordered the green gazpacho and soup of the day (cauliflower paprika) for starters. Both were really really good. For mains we had the haggis and jackfruit stew, also both delicious. Friendly service and good vibes. Definitely recommended!

Lots of options and great desserts. We ordered the chef pot of the day, which was a Spanish casserole. For dessert we had a chocolate creme de pot that was surprisingly refreshing. That night live music started at 7pm.

Lovely dinner! Vegan Haggis was delicious. Also tried a nice chocolate mousse for dessert. Came in for a weeknight dinner and got a table around 5:30, then it started filling up a bit more. Only about 8 tables so call ahead at busy times.

Henderson's sticks in my mind as the best vegan restaurant I have ever eaten at. The food is delicious and not as expensive as gourmet vegan restaurants. If you're in Edinburgh, this is a must-visit.

Fab meal, really enjoyed the menus and the service was excellent, on a weekend to Edinburgh for a cycling event, we will be back again! Food was just brilliant, really great that everything is vegan, no need to ask or to ask for an adapted meal as is usually the case. Also excellent range of drinks Kombucha made in Glasgow and the puddings.

Friendly & efficient service even though they were down to 2 staff members only. The food was delicious and different (vegan haggis!). The venue is small so it feels very special to be there (NB - book a table!)

Healthy, tasty food which seemed more imaginative than many of those ‘vegan junk food’ type places (which are also great, of course)...but this place has no guilty after-effect! Just wish it wasn’t so damn far away ;-)

Disappointing - Edit
Had a disappointing experience. The starters were good so was looking forward to the main course of Linguine, however when it came it was dry with no sauce or dressing and lukewarm. The waitress was friendly but insincere and did not ask how the food was and did not care that I had hardly touched my food. There is a microwave on the counter where the cook was heating the meals to lukewarm. Didn’t stay for pudding as we just wanted to leave. Reading other reviews we must have caught it on a very bad day.
