Delicious vegan gelato - Edit
An absolute must if you are going through El Born - try the vegan chocolate gelato made with olive oil and sea salt. Divine!!!

Wandering around Barcelona in hot August, we happen upon this fantastic shop. The ice cream was rich and there were so many options.
Pros: taste, texture, quantity for price
Cons: no seating but there are benches nearby with shade

I am so sad, I found this place the day we had to go home.. :( I had a very tasty scoop of pistachio and one of almonds and oranges (if I remember well).
This was the best vegan ice-cream I had for a looong time. Not too sweet like others are and very tasty - I think, I have to come back to Barcelona... O:)

The gelatto here isn't completely vegan, but they had a good range of sorbets, including a rich, delicious dark chocolate made with olive oil.

Beautiful vegan ice cream! - Edit
This was an amazing find - all vegan ice cream, and it's fantastic. A good range of flavours, some unusual (such as the spicy chocolate) and some old favourites. The flavours aren't displayed in English but the lady in the shop helped us work it out. I had a medium pot with half chocolate and half apple & cinnamon, both of which were delicious. We would have called again the next day, but unfortunately turned up too early.
WARNING: Despite the ice cream all being vegan the lady in the shop advised us the wafer cones are NOT vegan and contain egg. They also serve the ice cream in three different size tubs instead which I preferred anyway.

Fantastic ice cream - all vegan! - Edit
All the ice creams here are vegan (made with rice milk). The window sign says "Go Vegan" and "We Love Vegans"!
They have a great range of flavours, ranging from the standard chocolate, strawberry and pistachio, to almond & orange, apple & cinnamon and a delicious hazelnut ice cream. Definitely worth a visit (or more)!
