Love Haveli

Despite not being all vegetarian, Haveli is one of my favorite Indian restaurants in St. Louis. All vegan options are clearly marked and there are a comparable amount of vegan options to a vegetarian Indian restaurant that uses dairy. While their naan is not vegan, the paratha breads are, which I love. It's available plan or stuffed with potato or cauliflower. For entrees I enjoy chana masala, bhindi masala, aloo gobi, and gobi manchurian. My husband and I usually split a few and have leftovers.

I tend to avoid buffets at non-vegan restaurants bc I am never sure how many options I will have, so I have not tried it.

Pros: Good vegan selection, Tasty food, Try the bhindi masala! So good.

Ok

They have a couple of decent vegan options, like Gobi Manchurian (although it could be crispier) and Bhindi Masala. They have increased their prices and one entree will put you out $20. Not worth it IMO.

Cons: Expensive entrees

Love it!

I love this restaurant. I go here often for Lunch. The buffet was really nice (pre-Covid) and was one of the the things that won me over. Staff is nice and I always have a great experience when I dine in.

Pros: Vegan options , Tasty meals

Buffet has good options.

Owner will walk you through what is vegan on the buffet or menu. Also V get their bread brought directly to table so you don’t get one with butter etc. If you let her know in advance for even small group she will make sure she puts certain things on the buffet for V. But the menu options were really easy to order from as well. Dinner buffet was worth the drive. Food was good even on a rainy slow Saturday. Hopefully Happy Cow will get an update on hours and menu. You can always call her the owner said. They love groups too and were so attentive to them and yet love the couple who are there for a date. Waiter was so efficient that you could enjoy the conversations around the table. Very clean bathroom and tables.

Pros: Buffet choices plenty of vegan options. , Helpful owner, Food good even for non V friends

Cons: They use dairy, Not labeled but you can ask and they will help. , Far drive but worth it.

Nice place for vegans

I went there alone as usual cuz I can’t seem to get a date. I was greeted and immediately asked if I wanted to eat from the buffet. I had a vegan shirt on that gave my eating habits away so she pointed and told me what was vegan from the buffet which was hard to remember. Oh but girl it is so nicely decorated and I wish I had a date. Please take your lover here, it’s the right ambient. I felt lonely eating by myself. 😭 food was good though

Pros: Considerable amount of vegan options, Lunch buffet works to be around 12 ish bucks , Nicely decorated

Cons: Store hours aren’t enough , The buffet doesn’t have the vegan options listed

Excellent!

Nice decor with friendly people. They gave me my vegan choices at the buffet and made some vegan bread as well. Delicious. I’ll be back when I come to St. Louis for work monthly. I’d go five stars if it were fully vegan.

Delicious!

Delicious food and exceptionally friendly staff. The owner was very gracious and even offered to supplement the options on the buffet so that I could have lots of yummy vegan food. Will definitely be going back soon.
