Service- Service was above average. The staff was friendly and helpful while ordering the food, and were eager to help answer any questions we had about vegan options. For 1-2 questions they had to go inside to ask but they were patient with us and remained friendly. I knocked it down slightly because service is a bit slow even outside of just food preparation. Like they bus'ed our table but then took another 10 minutes to give us the bill and then we had to wait for them to come back, find we wanted to pay by card, and then go get the credit card device and come back again.
Quality- Everything I tried was top notch. On our first visit we tried 5 different rolls (Om Nom, Pachamama, bbq jackfruit, buddha, mango). Of those rolls my favorite were the om nom, pachamama, and buddha. BBQ jackfruit and mango were OK but not to my liking. For desert we trieid the mango cake and it was really good! I also got a katsu wrap as take away so I could eat it the next morning before leaving the island early. The Katsu wrap was also good! For our second visit I tried the gnocchi pasta and a buddha roll, raw snickers bar, and chocolate chip cookie. I loved the gnocchi! The raw snickers bar was also really good. The only miss was the chocolate chip cookie was very dry and bland.
Value- Prices overall are very reasonable compared to US pricing for vegan sushi rolls
Vegan Options - Rated 4/5, because it had a menu labeled for vegan, had vegan section of menu, and had vegan options in multiple categories. This is the highest rating I give a restaurant that isn't all vegan. Well done!
Pros: outside seating, takes credit card (i used mastercard), menu clearly labelled
Cons: doesn't split bills, lots of smoking on patio each time of 3 visits

Loved it! We went twice. There are 5 vegan sushi rolls, a number of poke bowls and wraps, as well as desserts marked vegan. Really appreciated the clear menu markings.
Read moreWe tried all five sushi rolls, all were flavorful and interesting. Also had a wrap as takeaway for breakfast the next day on our trip. We loved it so much we came back the next time we were in Labuan Bajo.
The raw snickers bar dessert is fabtastic. Staff is very friendly!! Great value for the price

Came here twice because it was just so delicious and it was great to have so many options! Had a poke bowl, the gyozas and a few sushi rolls. All were delicious! A bit on the pricey side but sooo worth it for a little splurge!

Happy Banana has a wide variety of vegan options available. We went with the Protein bowl and the Geisha bowl and both were delicious! The atmosphere is nice too. I'll definitely stop by Happy Banana if I'm in Labuan Bajo again!

There is a whole page for vegan and vegetarian options! Sushi rolls, soups, ramens etc. we ordered three types of sushi roll and the gyozas. Insanely tasty! A lot of effort has gone into maximising flavours. We’d have kept ordering if we weren’t so full! Will definitely return!

Lovely place in town with creative (eg use of jackfruit) and delicious Japanese vegan food options - the sushi rolls and gyoza we had were excellent - and a range of interesting drinks. Highly recommended.

Read moreFirst of all, they should either fix their avocado problem or take avocado of their menu. I came here especially for the avocado options and they were out of avocado both days I came here. They only used in the sushi, so I took the sushi.😅
I ate dinner here twice and tried the vegan dragon sushi roll, which was delicious (just not a fan of mushroom). I also tried the vegan poke bowl, also nice. Overall good and nice vegan options.

Locale molto carino, personale tutto al femminile, super gentile! Il cibo è meraviglioso, il loro sushi vegano è spaziale! Io ho adorato il loto vegan katsu wrap e la loro vegan choccolate mousse, ma ripeto,anche il sushi vale assolutamente la pena assaggiarlo. Noi siamo stati 5 giorni a labuan bajo e tutte le 4 sere abbiamo cenato in questo posto. Consigliata la prenotazione perché è davvero molto frequentato. Se siete a Labuan Bajo,non potete non passare di qui, vegani o non.
