Limited vegan options but tasty meal and good service - Edit
First visit since it became omni - according to google there were 4 vegan options (dated May 2023) but unfortunately they had ditched the tofu burger in favour of a beetroot salad (boring). I got the woodland mushrooms which was delicious but not completely filling. At least their hot choccie and chai is vegan!

A neat vegan brunch place - Edit
Nice coffee, good service and good portioned food.
Read moreSadly I had to make two attempts at coming here as I came a day before and it was closed? But I came within opening hours, nothing on their Instagram or Facebook about being closed and they did not answer their phones.
Otherwise food was 5/5. Wish they gave heads up about being closed.

Partner & I still hungry after $50 - Edit
Anticipating breakfast from all the 5 star reviews, but after eating here, I wasn't mind blown. Food was just ok, expensive and small portions. Nice coffee I guess. We both ate a 7/11 pie after coz we were still hungry.

Great food, but a bit rude - Edit
Of course, their food is delicious and the house hash browns are sensational. Just make sure you don’t accidentally walk in when they’re “not open”. Despite their lights all on, doors open, sign up saying “please wait to be seated” etc. You just might get a blunt, grumpy look and a rude “NO” if you ask if they’re open. We loved this place, but without going into too much detail, their rudeness caught us quite off guard. We won’t be back.

Inspiring Vegan Food - Edit
Love this place and have been many times. It's always exciting to see what is on the menu as the chef's take a lot of time crafting some truly unique dishes. The food is always made with locality, quality and sustainability in mind and I've never been disappointed. Definitely a must for vegans in Brisbane.

Perfect Vegan Breakfast! Homemade Ice Cream! - Edit
As I sit here on their outdoor patio, remembering the savory tofu-mushroom-scramble with sourdough toast under adzuki hummus spread, wilted kale, broccoli and hash-brown cake that I ate for breakfast-- I must admit, I don't feel grown. I feel like a baby, a very happy one. If you have one last breakfast to try before you go anywhere else, I can't recommend this place enough.
Read moreAs I sat, satisfied inside and out, four people walked up to the restaurant. The leader asked the server who greeted them, if this was a plant-based restaurant. I was thinking to myself, 'Right, can't be too careful these days, despite the sign in front reading: Plant-Based Dining -->' Then he said, 'We're just here for coffee, do you have milk?' The staff said, 'We have Oat, Soy and Almond Milk.' The leader of the group of four then said, 'No milk?' 'Do you mean Dairy milk?' 'Yes.' he huffed somewhat angrily, 'We don't sell dairy milk.' So he grumped, 'We'll go someplace else then!'
So there they are! I always wondered who the animal-abuse enthusiasts were that insisted on expecting plant-based businesses should mis-use the term plant, to mean not-plants and what kind of people would boycott a restaurant for not selling stolen baby cow's milk for coffee. I could practically see the cranial-atherosclerosis squeezing off oxygen to his brain as they turned and lumbered out-of-breath across the street. So, these are the pro-animal abuse activists! So convinced of their right to pay for people to torture and abuse non-human lifeforms that they can't even drink a freakin cuppa coffee in the morning without choking down some dead baby juice. Sad for them.
Awesome for me and Grown! I wasn't going to have a coffee myself for breakfast today, but upon witnessing this, I decided to spend an extra fiver (nice deal!) to go for an Affogato with some of their homemade coconut-soy ice-cream just to stick it to the animal haters who have confused themselves for baby cows. Maybe their name sake is a reference to the fact that the dairy crowd should simply, grow up.
Good on ya' Grown!
Pros: vegan owned, homemade ice freakin cream, and a great value for the money!

This place has some real love by the owner and chiefs! - Edit
This place really has put love into the menu and reward your taste buds. The visual, is stylish little cafe with a quiet location, you wouldn’t expect this cafe to have the food experience of a high end restaurant. I recommend booking for dinner as it’s limited for seating but I think this adds to the experience. See you again soon!!!

Yup. Just that. The seasonal menu is brief but pitch perfect. The ingredients are allowed to shine. There’s always one carbie thing that makes your soul sing, you know that feeling that vegans get when something tastes soooooo soooooo soooo good you can’t believe it’s vegan? Grown does that well. It was the walnut bolognese, at the moment it’s the giant pretzel. And the desserts (if it’s chocolate, eat it) and rich and perfect. I love it hear. I’d like to stay forever.

One of Brisbane's Best Vegan Restaurants! - Edit
I've been here a dozen times.
Read moreThe menu is pretty unique. Food is usually very tastey. Gourmet type stuff.
I would definitely recommend it. I say it's one of the best vegan places Brisbane has to offer. Only down note to it, is that the flavour (aka not enough salt/spice) can be hit and miss sometimes, but don't let that deter you.
Pros: Tasty food.
Cons: Flavor can be hit and miss.

Pretty Good - Edit
I have been to this place twice. The first time I had the scrambled tofu and the second time I had the ‘Grown Cheeseburger’. The scrambled tofu was delicious but in my opinion the portion size was too small for the price. The cheeseburger was a little average in tastes. The patty was a little too dry. Perhaps a nice sauce would have been complimentary. The bread (bun) was very delicious. The cheeseburger was served with fried chips. As a meal it was very filling and the portion size was good.
