Hippie Wayne’s Green Tomato - Edit
I was driving pass and saw the promotion of their “vegan” Buddha Bowl. It’s a very small space, mostly filled with shelves stocked up with everything from pickled fruits and veggies, jams, and baked goods, to vegan Chex-Mix and vegan chocolates. Inside also houses Ann’s Gluten-free Bakery and Cafe, where you can get salads and sandwiches. I saw at least 4 options on the menu that could be made vegan by omitting an ingredient or two.
Read moreI ended up trying a vegan apricot oat bar and vegan molasses cookies. Both were gluten-free and delicious.
What a joy to find a little vegan sweetness in the heart of dairyland.
