My favorite! - Edit
This is one of my favorite restaurants in my home town. I have been eating here since they opened in 1990s. I love-love the food, the owner, the staff and the atmosphere. You take what you want from a buffet and pay according to the weight. They have a nice small sitting area outside, which is lovely in the summer. Gopal is very relaxed place - and also very popular. It can be quite full during lunch time. It closes for evening, so go early enough. 😊

The original Gopal! The food is great and the buffet selection is larger than in Cafe Gopal in the city centre. The food is well spiced, the warm foods are hearty and the salads fresh and versatile. I find the interior really beautiful, warm and cozy with huge amount of plants and colours.

I´ve been going here for years when ever I visit Tampere. I love the buffet with the spreads, salads and Indian-style food. They also have some vegan cakes and traditional carrot cake is lovely.

Gopal makes me want to visit Tampere as often as possible. The food is simply so wonderful. There are so many varieties and taste is so delicious. Luckily they have very small plates, otherwise I would overeat and pay a fortune as you pay by weight. Still I can fit a lot of food on my plate. Sometimes they have cookies or cake too, but Cafe Gopal have a better variety of sweets in additional to a similar lunch. Sometimes I walk from Gopal to Cafe Gopal for desert :)

I've picked up lovely lunches here a few times and the food is great! You choose what you want, the staff weigh it and you pay per grams. It's good as you get exactly the right amount and don't end up paying for food you didn't want.
