Incredible staff and vegan options! From raw vegan coconut spirulina granola to vegan coconut frozen yogurt this place bring up the best in me ;)

This store is HUGE. This is definitely the place to go if you're looking for any specific product that you haven't been able to find anywhere else. I could spend hours in here looking at all their different products! They especially have a great organic cosmetic section that sells products I haven't been able to find anywhere else in the Netherlands.
Unfortunately a lot of their products are overpriced; they can be found for much more reasonable prices at other stores.

Gimsel sells high-quality products, but it's quite overpriced if you compare the prices to the same products in Ekoplaza and Marqt. With their special 'Groenkaart' you can get a fair 6% discount, but because that card costs 100 euro, it's not worth it for everyone. Moreover, adding some affordable glutenfree products would be nice. Finally, you have to check your receipt every time you go there, because there are always some mistakes.

Not only is this shop enormous, it also has very generous opening hours... Besides, they tend to have discounted items, so I took the opportunity to acquire things such as spices that I had never seen before, for example mace, at very affordable prices.

Staff were happy to assist with translations.

By the way, the Green Passage is certainly not your average shopping mall, it's just a few shops with green ambitions under the same roof, so to speak.

I am a fan of Gimsel I love their variety of biological and Demeter ingredients. Nowadays they have a lot of vegan treats at the bakery location, and raw and vegan options are being add regularly. The location is part of the Groene Passage which on itself is a great location to visit because of the other great shops and restaurant Spirit. I have bought a saving card at Gimsel for 100 euro which gives me 6% discount on everything inside Gimsel including vitamins, make/up, super foods and offers. If you are a regular visitor and spend more than 35 euro´s a week (including the toiletries and vitamins like B12) then it is interesting to buy a card, I got a book, which I gave as a birthday present to my friend.

For vegans, this is the place to go in Rotterdam. They sell a lot of plant-based meat substitutes, and although not a health food, I love those once in a while and they are a blessing when it comes to having simple on the fly unplanned summer bbq's.
The bulk section is something else. All the goods are bio, you don't need to buy unneeded plastic packaging and for some product it can't be found cheaper anywhere else! Especially the quinoa, it is organic and very cheap.
They have ingredients you wouldn't find anywhere else, such as keltic sea salt, black garlic, all sorts of meals. They sell different sorts of organic vegan wine without added sulphite for about 7 euros and it is a lovely wine you can safely pour your guests.
And last but not least, they sell Bonvita Rice 'magnums'.

The only cons are that they sell non-vegan items such as lots of cheese and that they have a somewhat limited vegan-ice and cheese supply which both are just stuffed between the dairy verions so you need to search. They also don't have vegan make-up at all, their Lavera assortement is really lacking and they only have Urtekram vegan toothpaste.

This is one of my favorite places to do my grocery shopping. Although they do sell products like dairy, they do offer a lot of vegan products. They have a pretty varied assortment of vegetables, but not as much fruit as I'd like to see. Friendly staff and plenty of products.

The grocery store is stocked with healthy vegetarian/vegan food. The restaurant serves its meals a la buffet style: you grab a tray and serve yourself, paying at the end. The Vegan options are labeled with a "V", these comprising about half the total menu. The prices are reasonable considering the quality and selection of food available. If you have to be on Rotterdam for some reason, then this place is one I recommend.

Absolutely superb health food shop. 600 square metres, 12 000 products in the same shopping complex as a veggie cafe. A shame it's spoiled by a few non veggie offerings. Located easily within 10 mins walk of Stadhuis and Blaak metros.
