A dream for sushi lovers - Edit
I cannot describe how amazing the sushi tastes. It‘s magic… I was lucky enough to have great sushi in different countries, including Japan, but I have yet to discover a place that makes sushi so well.

The sushi pieces look amazing, and taste even better: I found it to be a perfect balance between excellent consistency and taste. The taste, in turn, appears to carefully combine subtle, but also deep and complex tastes, leaving you mesmerized after the first bite.
The sets I ordered were brought in intervals, with the first plate coming soon after ordering. This allowed me to enjoy the sushi as fresh as possible; a detail I appreciated very much.
Finally, the different plates with varrying pieces came with a certain synergy between them, as if the Chef was guiding us me on a discovery path of tastes.
One can only imagine the effort and dedication it must have taken to achieve this culinary perfection. Huge respect to the Chef!
This small restaurant is run by a family. From what I understand, the father prepares the sushi, while the mother and the son serve customers.
In addition to the amazing sushi, the beautiful environment and the lovely service staff make a visit to „Nori“ an unforgetable experience.

Nori at the Harvest Market - Edit
We were lucky to bump into the Nori stall on the Harvest Market (Rotterdamse Oogst), happening on Saturdays 10 am to 5 pm in Noordplein. Otherwise, we might have missed this gem! We bought a bento box with 6 dishes (plus a whole grain rice ball) for 19.50 Euros – it was worth every cent. The portion was plenty, basically serving two people, and everything was so delicious. Unique, diverse, and you could tell that it was 100% made from scratch. So, if you are visiting the market, watch out for Nori!

Nori is een van mijn top 3 plekken om te eten. De eigenaren zijn super vriendelijk. Wij wonen helaas buiten het bezorg gebied maar doen regelmatig afhalen als we thuis willen genieten van de sushi. Het is altijd exact op tijd klaar. en met exact op tijd bedoel ik dat als je om 20:00 afhaalt, het om 19:59 word ingepakt. Het is altijd warm en vers. Extra saus? Geen probleem.
Read moreNog nooit zijn ze iets vergeten of hebben ze mijn bestelling verkeerd gedaan, en wij hebben hier al meer dan 10 keer besteld! Als je online besteld krijg je stempels, bij een volle kaart krijg je 5 euro korting. Ook erg leuk natuurlijk.
We gaan er ook met regelmaat eten. Je moet wel op tijd reserveren, het is vaak vol. De zaak is helaas niet heel groot, ik hoop dat ze op een dag zullen uitbreiden! Ook als je daar eet word je eten snel gemaakt en geleverd aan tafel. Er is veel keuze in sushi. Van standaard klassiekers tot bijzondere dingen. Ze hebben ook voordeel "boxen" Wij bestellen heel vaak de meatlovers box, echt een goede deal en onze favoriet.
Ik heb niks behalve positieve woorden over Nori! Ik zou iedereen aanbevelen hier te eten als je in de buurt bent.

Read moreWat sushi besteld en bananen hapjes erg lekker. En de hoofdgerechten waren erg smaakvol. Vooral de Peking eend vonden wij erg lekker.
Was wel wat gehorig en veel kinderen. En het zat al vroeg vol dus zeker reserveren. Geen buiten gedeelte enige minpunt. Maar het zat in een leuke straat en zag er erg verzorgd uit.
We werden nog uitgezwaaid erg lief personeel.

Everything is spectacular. The sushi, the soup (we got the Peking and the tofu soup - recommend the Peking soup most of all, sweet and spicy and delicious), the gyozas... Everything. We loved it so much (visited the restaurant on the first night of our trip) that we got a delivery to our apartment on our last night! Heaven!

This place offers old-fashioned Asian food and sushi, but veganized. I love this! Also, the family owning this place is very friendly. Unfortunately, I visited once during opening hours and they turned out to be closed. Nothing about this was communicated online or on the entrance door. 😕

Excellent meal with the family - Edit
This place has a fantastic menu, we tried lots of sushi, a bento bowl and a mock chicken and rice dish all of which were excellent and very tasty. Our kids loved it and would recommend to anyone visiting Rotterdam to give this place a try!

Al meerdere keren gegeten en elke keer weer fantastisch! Ook als ik niet-vegans meeneem vinden ze het erg lekker en zijn onder de indruk. Ook een keer op aanraden van Zhen de lams curry geprobeerd en die was ook echt super! Bedankt en tot snel weer een keer!

The sushi tasted okay but a little samey - all the fake fish tasted of nothing, the cucumber had the most flavor. There was little ginger. It was fine all in all but reminded me of store bought sushi. The bowl was quite expensive what it was, mainly rice with some cheap toppings. The atmosphere was a little cold, the server not very friendly to us and the Chinese music in the background quite loud.
