I love how vegan friendly gelato parlors are in Melbourne, and Gelato Messina is not an exception. While the vegan options are mostly sorbets, which I'm not a big fan of, I really enjoyed my choice: salted coconut & mango salsa and passion fruit!

So smooth and creamy! It's good that they have some more interesting flavours like Pandan & Coconut or Salted Coconut & Mango Salsa (usually for vegans it's just plain ol' fruit flavoured sorbet). Would have to say it's the best gelato in Melbourne.

I had vegan almond and coconut flavour in a waffle cone and my friend had vegan chocolate flavour in a waffle cone. We both found them to be delicious. Mine was nice and creamy. About a quarter of the flavours on offer were vegan with 10 vegan options available the day we went. It would be great if there were even more vegan options especially the creamy flavours (rather than fruity ones which are easier to come by).

the vegan sorbet is really good and they have some really unique flavours but every time I've been there the lines have been out the door and its taken over 20 minutes
