A 100% plant-based all-day brunch restaurant since 2020 specializing in eggs Benedict, açaí bowls, burgers, assorted pastries, specialty coffee, juices, smoothies, more. Everything is made from scratch in the Frutas Prohibidas workshop including vegan meats, eggs, cheeses, breads, and more. No reservations but has a booking system at busy times where a table can be requested and a wait time is given. Open Wed-Sun 10:00-18:00.

For Vegans, Breakfast and lunch get left behind or stripped down to basics; We get avocado toast or the occasional tofu scramble. Frutas Prohibidas has decided to provide something more and provide it at an extremely high level.
Read moreThe Eggs Benedict (no matter the style you choose) is a marvel of vegan ingenuity. I was stunned by the texture of the outside. I was stunned again when I cut through it to find the gooey yoke. I've never had anything like it in my life. Paired with the hollandaise sauce, truffle pearls, and parmesan cheese, It becomes the perfectly concocted dish.
We also ordered two drinks: the Red velvet latte (Beet and chocolate) and the blue latte (Spirulina). The red velvet latte has a delicate taste, but the Spirulina was wonderfully sweet and full of flavor.
The sleek, modern decor is comforting and cool. Get there early because the place fills up quickly, watching as multiple groups were turned away within the first half an hour of opening. You will not be disappointed.

The finest vegan brunch I’ve had yet. Cool system using a QR code for your table wait, it’s ok for UK phone. Staff very helpful and friendly. Interior lovely and lovely. Tried three dishes - the açai pancakes, açai bowl, and ‘eggs’ Benedict. All amazing. Have no idea how they did the eggs Benedict but it was amazing. Clearly one of their specialities and frequently ordered. It’s cool that when you scan the QR code for the menu there is a little video showing you how each dish is made. This really is a special little place and one of the finest little vegan restaurants I’ve ever been to. Whole heartedly recommended. #Veganuary

Food is amazing, never been disappointed there. Benedict egg toast is on spot. Love the pineapple spirulina lemonade and ofc all cakes are amazing even if you not sweet tooth person. Service always very friendly and polite, speak spanish and english if you can't speak spanish.

I went for Sunday brunch and was not disappointed in any aspect. In January I did not have to wait for a table. The fruit juice was very tasty, the eggs Benedict with pulled pork were delicious and the espresso very good. The service was super friendly and the atmosphere very welcoming. My absolute favorite restaurant in Madrid. I ate here every day I could after discovering it. The BBQ no-eggs Benedict was AMAZING. I've never had egg Benedict in my life, BUT my partner said it was an amazing replica and he himself was impressed, stating this was the best vegan restaurant experience he'd ever had (he's not vegan but has been to many vegan restaurants with me the last 15 years).

This restaurant does vegan eggs Benedict and vegan egg sandwiches. Absolutely gorgeous treat. The food was filled with flavour, great portion and a surreal egg imitation!
Read moreWe wanted to order the classic eggs Benedict but the line was so long they ran out of poached eggs by the time we got there. You can’t make a reservation, but when you get there they will put you down on their list. There is a cute vegan doughnut cafe nearby where we waited until they had our seat ready. (See next post for the doughnuts🍩)
Jared had the pulled pork egg sandwich and I had the chicken Katsu egg sandwich. Both super tasty and very meaty.

The eggs and cheesecake are a must have! - Edit
Was soo intrigued by these ‘eggs’ And they didn’t disappoint. Had the same runny egg quality and was super tasty. The truffle wasn’t over powering either. It was a little cold when we got it but I don’t know if it’s meant to be like that. The crème brûlée cheesecake was incredible - I would definitely recommend that!!
