On ordering our meals, we were asked about food allergies and intolerances.
I replied,'I'm allergic to chilli' 🌶
Our waiter assured us that the kitchen would be notified of my allergy, so we ordered.
When food arrived piping hot, I decided that I'd better test the temperature of my 'mac and cheese' ...
Immediately, my tongue began to tingle and swell. Panic stricken and teary eyed, I reached for the water on our table.
Several members of our party, asked to see the manager, asking him to check the ingredients.
The manager left, and didn't return for quite some time. On his return, we were told that my meal had chilli in the ingredients, as they had to retrieve packageing from the bin to check. We asked Why this wasn't checked?
Their reply...'we don't check specific lables... but stuck to the 14 allergy specific foods guidelines' 🤦♀️
So according to this restaurant... if your allergy doesn't fall within the 14 major food aligens, they will give it to you anyway!!! So be warned ⚠️
After our family experience had been ruined by this restaurant, we were reluctantly offered a refund fir the meal I couldn't eat and 60% discount. Only to discover when we left the restaurant and checked our receipt, that they had lied and charged for my meal anyway and only 43% discount.
The experience here was horrendous.
Reheated prepacked food at extortionate prices, served to you unchecked if you have an allergy.

Frankie and benny’s have so vegan many options. Garlic bread with vegan mozzarella is a must. But also the sauces that come with food is really tasty!!!

There were so many exciting new options to choose from, including 2 new burgers, chicken less nuggets, ain’t no chicken Parmesan, 2 pizzas, a vegan hot dog and vegan garlic bread! Fantastic to see a chain offering so many vegan items

New vegan addition - Edit
Its great to see chain restaurants adding vegan dishes to their menu. At Frankie & Benny's they offer a couple of pasta dishes and pizzas for vegans. They also offer meat free burgers for vegetarians.
