Mediocre - Edit
Food is overpriced for what it is. This is one of the older vegan places in CDMX and back in the day it was probably exceptional, but they need to up their game as Mexico City has a lot of vegan places now. Food is mediocre at best. Atmosphere nice. Service good.

Unimpressed - Edit
The pasta’s we ordered were okay as were the drinks as well. We had french toast as a dessert which was good but nothing extraordinary. Price point was also much higher than other higher quality vegan places in CDMX.

Delicious pizza - Edit
Forever has a really cool interior space decorated with mushroom wallpaper and floral overhead lamps. They have a pizza shop operating out of one side of the restaurant. Service was spectacular - attentive and super friendly.
Read moreWe tried the berenjena pambazo which tasted like an eggplant Parmesan sandwich with a Mexican twist. We also had the parmesiana pizza that had sliced eggplant on top. The crust was really delicious but maybe slightly too thin for all the wet ingredients.
On another night, we ordered takeout and got the cheese stuffed Flor de calabaza, Brussel sprouts, tahini-honey salad, and the pepe e cacio pasta. The stuffed squash blossoms didn’t have much flavor. Squash blossoms are so delicate that frying them just made it taste like oily bartered cheese, and there was barely any sauce with it. It needed something to lighten it up. The pepe e cacio was good but slightly sweet. The Brussel sprouts were the hero - absolutely delicious coated in a balsamic reduction. The tahini honey salad was fine. The dressing was a bit heavy, and it seemed like there was just a crushed up seed cracker in it as croutons.
Overall a solid option, but some things were better than others.
Pros: All vegan, Mexican and Italian options, Great service and ambiance

Delicious - Edit
So nice to have an all vegan brunch option! Most of my group ordered the chicken and waffles. The “chicken” was breaded and seasoned portobello mushrooms which was delicious and creative and the habanero sauce it was served with was one of my favourite side sauces I’ve had in CDMX. The waffles were good, but soggy which was a little disappointing. My friend had the avocado toast which he really enjoyed.

Terrible Food Poisoning! - Edit
Forever is a gringo vegan joint in the gentrifying Roma neighborhood.
Read moreI can confirm the chicken and waffles was delicious (crispy portobello and real maple syrup) and that the food was relatively pricey.
What I was not expecting was to get the worst food poisoning from here!
Moments into enjoying the Pistachio shake, the flavor changed and my stomach felt upset. I did missed it as the combination with the waffle, but for the rest of the day the thought of eating disgusted me and by the evening I had a fever and some of the worst traveler’s diarrea I’ve had across 20 months of travel to places with lower hygiene standards than CDMX.
Be careful of this place. If you look on google, you’ll see I’m not the first to get sick here!

The food was beautiful! - Edit
We stayed in the Polanco District so this place was nice and close. We went twice and both times the food was amazing and such a beautiful presentation. The tacos! I still think about those street tacos and how good they were!

Super expensive for what they serve - Edit
Food taste ok but the food portion is too small for what they charge. We order a sallad and a dragon bowl and were still hungry afterwards.

Average food - Edit
Lots of choice, cute place, but food we had was very average. Dragon bowl OK, but heavy and overcooked noodles. Fish fingers dry and brussel sprouts tasted weird (as in actually unpleasant)... So many better vegan options in mexico city, i'm confused by all the good reviews here. Preferred Gracias Madre down the road by a long way

Major Hit or Miss - Edit
The portobello chicken & waffles is really all I need. Delicious guacamole & the broccoli entree is stellar. The cauliflower tacos needed salt. The Brussels were not bad. Very fresh ingredients & a Live DJ on Friday nights spinning dope tunes. I’d definitely be back.

Great atmosphere and service - Edit
I ate here three separate times mainly due to the proximity of my hotel. I wouldn’t consider the best vegan food in CDMX, but it gets the job done. I felt some of the flavors were lacking. Definitely a bit expensive.

Popular with tourists - Edit
First - Forever Vegano is in an amazing art deco/beaux arts building - the facade on the first floor is painted dark grey with white for all the flourishes and embellishments, I sure hope the rest of the building is restored as it will be quite striking. Inside, Forever Vegano is cozy - it's got a loft area (shoes free!) with cushions and small tables on the first floor with a bench that has plenty of cushions.
Read moreMy friend and I both had mandarin orange juice and chilaquiles -- both were very delicious. All the clientele seemed to be foreigners (except for my friend, of course) and I wonder if that's due to some social media promotion or Yelp reviews being mostly in English.
Service was a little slow but overall the place is pretty laid back and relaxed. The bathrooms were tidy and I loved how the toilets are in small non-gender-specific rooms with a shared wash area.
Definitely plan to return on my next visit!
Pros: Vibe, OJ, Chilaquiles

Yum! - Edit
I had my food delivered but saw the inside of the restaurant during a walk so know that it's a cute restaurant. My food was great overall: cauliflower tacos, Beyond meat tacos, broccoli braseado, and flores tempura. The flores tempura was by far my favorite... just like many other items in Mexico City I've had with vegan cheese filling, it was so creamy and delicious! The Beyond tacos were my least favorite... not bad, but not very exciting.
