More About Me

Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:

Being vegan has always been my calling, since I was a small child. I never saw the point in consuming living creatures or that which belongs to them. Besides, it's better for my health and the environment if I don't consumes animal products! There's not a single good reason not to be vegan :)

I joined HappyCow Members Community because:

I move a LOT, I'm never in the same country for more than a few months. This makes it really difficult to continue routines connected to food and lifstyle, especially in places where I don't speak the language. HappyCow was a godsend! First discovered it in Austria when I was looking for local vegan eateries and in Korea it introduced me to PLANT, my favorite vegan spot in Itaewon. Since I'm often in Warsaw I've been to so many HappyCow listings there and now in Mexico City as well! Vegan travel bugs NEED HappyCow!

Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:

I've lived in North and South America as well as Europe and a brief stint in Asia. I love every place I've been but some places are definitely more vegan-friendly than others! The places I'm dying to visit are South East Asia, specifically India and Thailand, the West Coast of the United States (I grew up in the East Coast!) and Oceania. Can't wait to try the vegan food there!

Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:

I love the simple things, especially pasta, salads, pizzas and burgers! But FRUIT is my go-to food staple, I LOVE FRUIT! Zucchinni noodles (zoodles) can also be soso amazing (I love raw food!).

Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:

I'm really into the televisions series love Game of Thrones and I'm loving the books too at the moment! Other favorites are Orange is the New Black and Sense8. For those emotional people like me I really recommend Sense8 for it's focus on human connection, empathy and compassion. It's a really great, progressive series and a Netflix original directed by the Wachowskis (The Matrix, Cloud Atlas) and I really enjoy the themes. Maybe they'll one day talk about veganism!!
