Thank goodness for a vegetarian option

We were desperately looking for something to eat at 9 pm on a Thursday and we were lucky to suddenly and amazingly almost walk past this place. We had the Cantonese Shang mee and a special that contained brown rice, steamed greens, peanuts, some other veggies, fried tofu, and an herbal soup that comes separate that you mix into the dish. It wasn’t bad at all! I’d come back happily. Very large selection as well.

Pros: Much needed vegetarian food in pavilion , Lots of options , Pricing doesn’t hurt the wallet

Cons: They don’t sell any drinks

Good selection

Bit more expensive than similar restaurants outside the Malls, and if you get there later some dishes will be cold
But great selection and super tasty, black pepper chicken was great! Also the curry mee is amazing

Okay food

The food court of the Pavilion mall basement is called Food Republic. This stall is called Vegetarian.

The food wasn't great. It was alright but not high quality.

Not a good impression

Wanted to order a noodle soup but it looked like it might have had egg noodles in it. Asked the staff if the menu item in question had any egg or dairy products in it (in Malay also because they didn't understand English too well). Was told that no, there is no egg or dairy because it is a vegetarian restaurant... even though some of the food items were CLEARLY omelettes. 😕

Oh well, never mind. Played it safe and went for the black pepper udon. Paid 11.55RM for a decent sized serving of fried noodles, veggies, mock chicken, and mock fish cakes.

They weren't kidding when they called it black pepper udon. There were whole peppercorns in the dish. Sauce was pleasant enough but overpowered by the pepper. Seasoning is good, but not when it's all you can taste!

Perhaps I should have taken advantage of the fact that there's a choose-your-own buffet instead of ordering from the set menu. Still though, if their choose-your-own dishes are prepared by the same chefs as the set menu, I wouldn't be too enthused.

Pros: Decent serving size for the price

Cons: Staff unsure about ingredients, Too much pepper!

Expensive but good

For a buffet they are simply quite pricey. However, it was quite tasty. And they are still serving when their competing vegetarian restaurant is closing.

Yummy Food

This place is very reasonably priced for a high end mall - 50RM for 3 adults and 2 children (ex drinks, self service)

The food was delicious and a great variety. Highly recommended if you are in downtown Kuala Lumpur.

Food Heaven

Bless this little stall,it should be cloned and brought to Europe!
I had Black Pepper Soya chunks and green beans, creamy curry and potatoes and I swear I doubted it was vegetarian as the texture was "scaring ly" tasting of meat.... Lol Two mains and two sides dinner dish (yes,it can all fit in one dish, apparently!) for just under 3£?
Bring it on.Serves Chinese/Malay staples and No Body Gets Hurt 😍

Pros: Prices, Menu choices, Vegan

Cons: None

Vegetarian food stall

When i asked about vegan options i appreciate the honesty of the girl serving. She said all the food is prepared elsewhere and likely contains milk. She said she can offer no assurances for anyone on a non dairy diet

Pros: honest server

Cons: zero vegan options

Good inexpensive food

I ate here two times, as the Pavilion was easy to reach and close to my hotel. Food is very good, almost everything is vegan (ask in doubt, they can tell you if they put eggs or not). I had many different things for lunch (they all looked so yummy), and Cantonese noodles for dinner. All good! Recommended.

Pros: Good food, Inexpensive, Generous servings

satisfied everyone - even carnivores

I brought my meat eating friends here and everyone devoured their good. The curry "chicken" was delicious as was the spicy "nuggets". Lots of great veg dishes including Bok Choy, bean sprouts, cauliflower and some veg we had never had before haha. Noodle soups were a hit and although everyone ordered by plate, they wanted to go back and try some of the noodle dishes. Great price. Good and flavourful. A crowd pleaser

Pros: price is right , great selection of veg and mock meat

Cons: food court - nothing fancy, not always sure exactly what you are ordering :)

Pros: clean, good choice, easy to find

Cons: fairly pricy, noisy food court

Good food court stall

Good stall with some interesting Malaysian and Chinese-style dishes. Their buffet has about 20 choices, plus they have an a la carte menu if you prefer. I had 3 choices from the buffet with rice, which cost RM 9.50. A bit more expensive than other local buffets which aren't in upmarket malls, but the food was worth it. The setting is, well... a food court, but it's a fancy one. Note that the mall information boards don't list it, but it is there.

Pros: Malaysian flavours, Fresh and tasty

Cons: Food court

Loved it

Very easy to find. You can pick and mix food however you like. It is super cheap aprox 2-3 euro per plate. Very fresh. After first time it was must do on our list each day. Simply delicious.
