Definitely worth a visit! - Edit
Not local to Chester so drove out of our way to visit. Menu (lighter summer menu was available) is pretty basic but all great quality. It's really great to see a vegan establishment utilising existing vegan options like la vie ham to make normal sandwhiches, I often wonder why this isnt more common?
Read moreWe got the scrambled tofu on toast and the v-egg sandwhich which were both delicious, and shared a cruffin which was excellent. Bought some sourdough for home. I've had a lot of scrambled tofu in my time and this was one of the best I've ever had.
Vegan ice cream also looked fab, not that we had any, but it was very popular. Coffee was lovely!
The setting in the park is wonderful but seating inside is limited, and I think that could be troublesome in bad weather.
Pros: Great menu!, Lovely setting, Great selection of books!
Cons: Limited seating inside

Vegan Almond Croissants - Edit
I have missed almond croissants so after 11 long years without I was excited to find Fika - fully vegan cafe with a wide selection of pastries. Almond Croissant & Pain Suisse are must tries, really good quality & super flaky. Look forward to trying their lunch / breakfast menu too.

Great vegan café - Edit
Lovely setting in park in quirky building which is former Victorian toilets (don't let that put you off – it's nice inside!), adjoining a mock-Tudor lodge.
Read moreGood selection of savoury and sweet food. The coffee and walnut cake was particularly nice.
Friendly staff.
Reluctantly have given 4 rather than 5 because we had to wait over 30 minutes for our order to be served when we visited on a Sunday (a rather anxious wait as we had a train to catch) – obviously a busy day.
Visited twice on this occasion and would be very happy to go again.

Perfect plant based food in the park - Edit
So love Fika a lovely old lodge in Grosvenor Park in Chester. We had tea, cakes and pastries and they were all delicious. The Victoria sponge was moist and filled with rhubarb jam which was a nice twist. The cinnamon bun was huge, tasty and very moist. We sat in the conservatory watching the squirrels playing. Loved the sign on the door that said 'dogs welcome people tolerated !' They have lots of baked goods and main meals too. The staff were very friendly. We would highly recommend and look forward to our next visit.

Beautiful location - Edit
This is a lovely café and bakery on the edge of Grosvenor Park. I was looking for breakfast options. Lots to choose from but they don’t offer gluten free bread so was a bit restricted. The porridge was delicious and made fresh, washed down with a nice americano. Lovely to sit outside and watch the dog walkers and squirrels 🐿️

Worth a detour - Edit
We planned a stop here on our way to pigs beneath the wood in mid wales.
Read moreWe parked for free at the Waitrose and charged our car too. Looks like you could park on street nearer.
It's located just in the park in a lovely building. Friendly staff great location and varied simple menu with some fake stuff and more whole foods. Not overtly vegan to not scare people off I guess but is 100% vegan (June 2025) also several ice cream flavours. Nice strong coffee.
We went fake and had the hotdog, juicy marbles sandwich and a few pastries for later. What3words location may help it is: ///pace.frozen.items.
