Wow they really pack in everything

We have a small addiction to GT's Kombucha, and at $5.69 a bottle here its the most expensive I've ever seen it! Its $4.99 at the HFS near the airport. This is a great HFS, though. They have everything and then some. What you pay in extra mark ups you save in gasoline back to Whole Foods...

Pros: selection, freezer

Cons: prices

Wish we discovered this earlier in our trip!

Lots of vegan options. Multiple "sandwhich" choices (beyond burger, tempeh burger/sandwich, tofu sandwich), the macaroni salad and potato salad (sides) are vegan! We opted for the Mac salad which was delicious. There was a hot bar with multiple tofu options and many other vegan options. Overall, the plentiful choice was a welcome change from most places on Maui that have one mediocre vegan option.

Great market for to go/shopping locally

I picked up some items from their already made refrigerators for our trip on the road to Hana - tofu sandwich, raw wrap, vegan potato salad & fresh/local pineapple. Their made to order station is full of stuff too, had they not been slammed, I would have ordered all of our things from there. I did order the Hana kale smoothie (sans honey) though and it was awesome. Another thing I love is that they offer Keiki sized things, even açaí bowls!

The only thing that was a bummer was how expensive it is, even a basic tofu sandwich with veggies was fairly expensive in my opinion. You’ll note in my photo how expensive some things were. Totally understandable for faux things that are coming out of the freezer but a basic sandwich and potato salad seems a bit much!

Nice Store With Plenty of Options

It's a nice little grocery store with a deli counter to pick-up a quick bite. The staff is always very nice and helpful. My only problem is that stuff is so expensive here. I know it's not really their fault considering travel and vegan specialty items are already expensive as is. Their vegan low-fat chocolate cake is to die for and the chicken mock salad is pretty great too (very, very salty though). Pro-Tip: Make sure to check out their discounted refrigerated case to snag some good deals. They'll also take your used grocery store bags too.

Pros: Nice staff, Many vegan options

Cons: Expensive , Tight parking lot

This is the store!

I wish we would've found this store earlier in our vacation. They have a few wonderful veggie/vegan sandwiches that come with sides, including vegan mac salad and potato salad. And their market has a lot of vegan meat and dairy alternatives. I even found vegan banana bread after craving it when I saw it all over the island. Forget the big supermarkets and come here first!

Pros: Lots of vegan stuff , Great deli, Staff is super friendly

Cons: Closes at 4pm.

Nice for traveling vegans

Little grocery store with local produce and a food bar where they can prepare vegan sandwiches, juices, açaí bowls, etc... also already prepared sandwiches & salads to go. Visited here a few times during a stay in Maui.

Great for the traveling vegan

I stopped by this market/deli multiple times while staying on Maui. They have lots of fresh local veggies and fruit as well as grab and go items. There is a hot bar with almost an entirely vegan selection. Everything was super flavorful and fresh that we had. Oh and they have vegan banana bread :)

Pros: A lot of vegan items, Local produce

Cons: Not fully vegan, Closes at 4pm currently

Mostly for vegetarians but can find a lot of vegan options

This store is a bit run down, majority of the staff seems very unhappy and the place could use a lot of major updates. But they have delicious bagel sandwiches and serve a beyond burger in their all vegetarian based deli.

Cons: Not very clean

Lots of vegan options

This is a little market. It has an acai and smoothie bar inside. They sell lots of vegan options. I got a chai, an acai bowl without granola (it has honey), and vegan breads. Try pineapple bread! On Mon, Wed, and Fri there is a tiny farmer’s market in the parking lot. This place is also open at 7am.

Pros: Tons of vegan options, Cute little market, Good breakfast and lunch options

So many options!

Unfortunately they don't always make them known. At the deli you can request vegan cheese or vegan cream cheese on anything. The faux chicken they use in the salads is also vegan.
The hot bar is fully vegetarian 100% of the time with a few vegan options. If you are staying on island and find they consistently don't have vegan options beside soup, ask a manager to request a vegan option from the chef. They should have at least one. Also read the ingredients list on the hot bar. They won't want to help you if the answer is right in front of your face.
There are also some good picnic style options in the deli cases like the potato salad, mock chicken salad, and macaroni salad that are all always vegan. Also Pono Pies are a great dessert but check for honey! There is also vegan banana bread in store and some vegan macaroons at the registers that are both made locally!

Pros: A ton of options, listed ingredients on hot bar

Cons: sometimes very busy

Health Food Store/Counter Cafe

We ended up coming to Farmers Market quite a bit. They have a small veg health food store with lots of vegan options and a counter cafe with veg food and drinks, smoothie bowls. Perfect place to grab breakfast and enjoy it right across the street at the beach.

Good veggie burger

It's nice to see a few vegan options here. I had a veggie burger that was very satisfying.

Service might best be described as "utilitarian," but it got the job done.

There's a very good selection of natural food products in the market, too (though some of the prices will be jaw-dropping for people from the mainland).

Basic place, large variety

Saw this place on happycow some years back, ate here then many times; was just here again this week. Here's my Farmers Market Maui review.

It's an old school health food store. Very basic but well-stocked: lots of fresh fruits, various groceries, plus hot food bar, salad bar, sandwiches list. All food is vegetarian, some are vegan.

The local fruits are a good buy. Some imports are pricier. A very handy place to have when on this side of the island. We plan to eat here often on this trip.

Farmers Market and Deli Cafe

What a great find. Nice little health food store with a great cafe. Had the OMG Acai Bowl and it was great. My wife has been looking for a Tempeh burger for years and found a great one here. Maui Tempeh is the best.

Extensive vegan options

This has been a staple of our visit to Maui. Lots of vegan grocery options. Also ordered acai bowls, the "works" bagel (with vegan cream cheese), and grilled cheeze paninis (sub pesto sauce with vegan olive and garlic spread) - all delicious!

Pros: Vegan options , Excellent food

Cons: Limited seating, Unfriendly staff , Limited parking

Favorite food stop!

This place has something for everyone. The pitaya bowls are amazing! If you prefer a DIY approach, you can find frozen pitaya in the frozen section next to the frozen acai. Great smoothie, juice, and wrap selections! You can also find vegan wraps, spreads, salads, and desserts in the prepared foods section.

Pros: Excellent smoothie and smoothie bowl selection, Several vegan items , Friendly service

vegan options the only plus

They have a good selection of vegan deli food, but everything we tried was less than okay. It's not so bad to throw it away.. It's an option... maybe their juice bar is better? Employees didn't seem very friendly or happy so that always puts a damper on things

Pros: vegan options

Great hot and salad bar vegan options

We stopped at the cafe for a quick meal, and found plenty of vegan options, that were clearly marked, at the salad bar, hot bar, and in the coolers with pre-packed wraps (raw and cooked). Everything we piled on our plates was delicious, and the smoothies looked fantastic- we just didn't have room after we ate our meals.

Pros: Fair prices, Great vegan selections, clearly indicated, Fast option for takeout or quick eat in

Very good

Lot's of healthy options. They didn't have the 50% off after 6pm option anymore when we were there in March 2015. We really enjoyed the acai bowls.

Not bad for a small store

This place was a life saver for us since it was hard to find veg food in Lahaina so we ate at their hot and salad buffet bars quite a lot. The store is small but has enough organic supplies to get by.

great spot in west maui

This is a deli and health food store, not a "farmers market" in the mainland sense.

But it's a great spot for lunch and the people are super friendly.

Pros: deli, smoothie bar

Cons: not cheap but nothing in Hawaii is

Check out the guacamole

Our condo was located about a mile from here so we stopped here multiple times during the week.

Their smoothies and acai bowls were both great breakfast options - a large coconut acai bowl was plenty for two people for breakfast. I also highly recommend trying their guacamole (but beware it tends to sell out before lunch), vegan chicken sandwich filling, and olive/garlic spread.

If you come by around 6 pm they mark all of the hot dishes from their salad bar down by 50%.

If they have vegan banana bread I suggest picking up a loaf - it's excellent.

Pros: great food, open early, friendly staff

Cons: run out of some food early

Farmer's Deli Cafe

This deli is located within the farmers market. I tried their coconut cake and some chili, both pretty good. My bf got a bagel and cream cheese and thought it as average. Their store-made hummus and tapioca pudding is also good but nothing to write home about.

cute little market

During our trip to Maui, my wife and I rented a condo in Kaanapali. The Farmers Market was just a short drive down the street from us which was so convenient. Although we didn't try anything from their deli, they had a nice selection of vegetarian goods which was wonderful. As we cooked our own meals most of the time we were there, having the Farmers Deli Cafe nearby was a huge win for us.

Pros: friendly staff, good selection

Great veggie place in Kaanapali area

We found this place near the end of our stay in Maui - too bad I had to eat in some way overpriced "traditional" restaurants. We loved the cold and hot salad bar and they also allow you to sample just about everything. If you want a fine dining experience, this is not the place, but if you like it casual or take-out,this is for you. A nice store, too, that has a good selection of natural foods.
