Read moreLost a star because the staff were initially rude, not letting a large group of people (7 of us) to all come into the restaurant. We ended up splitting up and going to different restaurants but 2 of us that stayed ended up being the only ones in the restaurant the whole time..

Amazing Vegan Burrito & Unique Atmosphere - Edit
Very friendly team! A unique mix of Lucha Libre style, Japanese and American biker culture. The vegan burrito was absolutely delicious, and the fries were amazing too. Definitely worth a visit — I highly recommend this place!

Didn’t think Mexican food would be found in a small Japanese town but this was great! We arrived at 17h30 and queued for 10mins. The queue got a lot longer throughout the evening as the place was small. Staff is very kind and knows what is vegan or not (specified me to not use the mayo on the table). I had the vegan burrito and it was really good and filling! Just a heads up they charge you for a side salad but not for fries.

The food was really good! It was nice to have so many vegetarian options. They have a separate menu with vegan and vegetarian options. The staff was really friendly and the atmosphere in the restaurant was cozy and relaxed. The enchilada I ate was one of my favourite meals in Japan!

Sadly there is no vegan burgers available (even though you can swap out the meat patty for a soy patty) because the buns have butter in them. BUT the vegan burrito ( fries or salad) is delicious, it even has vegan cheese in it. The staff was super friendly, spoke English very well and was very informed about the vegan parts of their menu. 10/10 would recommend!

EVILTEX is a good place for vegans and vegetarians. They have a separate vegetarian menu. There is only one vegan option - a burrito with fries or salad (+60 yen for the salad) - but it was quite delicious and flavorful, and the portion size was quite generous for a reasonable price. The ambience makes it feel like an old-fashioned American diner.

Super lunch at Eviltex - we went twice! We all had different dishes and all were pleased with taste and ample serving size. Veggie burger, enchilada, burrito and quesadilla were all yummy for our vegetarian family. Fun atmosphere, great music and lovely owners.

A small tex mex restaurant decorated in Americana. Staff were friendly and confirmed our dietary status (eg checking if dairy or eggs were ok or not. Warning- the meals are huge! Much larger than your typical Japanese meals. Come hungry or share a meal. One vegan option, as others have said… and a few different vegetarian options.
