Literally OBSESSED - Edit
Emy Delights & Bites is my absolute favorite cafe in the Hudson Valley. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. I'm vegan and my mom has severe food allergies and if you know what that's like, then you know how comforting it is to be able to go into a place knowing you can eat everything and not have to ask any questions - and eat EVERYTHING I do. Her "basic" avocado toast (made on fresh house made bread) is anything but basic. It is to die for.
Read moreNow for what she's known for - her sweets! Highly recommend the staples of bakeries you might be familiar with before you went vegan - her raspberry "butter" cookies as well as black and white cookies give me an immediate rush of nostalgia every time I take a bite. All of her cookies have the perfect texture - it's hard to believe they're vegan and allergen free! There's an amazing rotating menu of sweet goodness and they're always unveiling new things and outdoing themselves every time.
And for Emy herself - WOW. The nicest and most courteous business owner in the area. I'm a frequent customer and I see many other customers coming in. Emy takes the time to speak to all customers, answering any questions they may have. She's understanding and goes out of her way to ensure her customers leave satisfied.

The absolute best - Edit
I have a lot of different food allergies and Emy's is my go-to place! I love everything I've ever gotten here. The truffles are so good, the cupcakes are fantastic, the baked goods are the best I've ever had, and the food is great too. Emy is so friendly and goes out of her way to make sure you feel safe and accommodated. Her staff is also super friendly and knowledgeable. Her baked goods are perfect if you are having people over or just want a snack for yourself. I recommend the mac-n-"cheese", cupcakes, and donuts. She has something for everyone. This is defiantly the best place to go!

Emy's delights is just that, a delight! - Edit
Emy's is a lovely little bakery with more to offer than just sweets. From the smoothies, to sweets, lunch specials, avocado toast etc it is a wonderful place to have right here in town and Emy is always so kind, welcoming and willing to answer questions we have. My son's favorite is the cake pops and my mom is currently obsessed with the thumbprint cookies. We have tried most of the items she has to offer and have never been disappointed. 💖

Not Impressed - Edit
A few weeks ago I tried the avocado toast and the bread was incredibly dense and the avocado was brown and unseasoned. I was unimpressed by the food but I decided to give them a second chance. I’ve heard great things about the sweets so I was so excited to try them. I ordered 3 chocolate covered strawberries and one brownie and my total came to over $20. The brownie was stale but the strawberries were good, just not worth $5 each. If you have the money it’s okay, but not everyone does.

Less Than Mediocre - Edit
The dessert “empanadas” were dry and bland and they left a lot to be desired. I wouldn’t call them empanadas. Also my husband paid $12 for a tiny falafel sandwich that was dry and wasn’t nearly as good as Aba’s in Rhinebeck. I wanted to give this small business a try but I was quite displeased.

We are obsessed! - Edit
We used to get her chocolates at another location, then delivered when COVID hit, but the cafe/bakery opened up all kinds of new treats and food!! We love it and go there as often as we can - I just have to budget for it because we tend to splurge!!! 😊 (A family member has a nut allergy so we take her yummy treats to family gatherings with absolutely no concerns!)

A Godsend! - Edit
This is THE most charming, sweetest, best-run new business I can remember (even before I get to the "vegan"part)... It's the kind of bakery that I would normally drive for hours to get to. Wholesome, pure ingredients COMPLETELY free of allergens, thoughtfully and lovingly crafted. It's now my "go-to" for weekend splurges, and is on a gorgeous strip of road near some of the prettiest picnicking spots to be had (Vanderbilt Mansion, Mills Mansion, etc.).

Delicious and nutritious meal options, and the best vegan dessert case I've ever seen (no hyperbole)! - Edit
This is the happiest little place I've visited in a long time! The owner is a graduate of the well-known Culinary Institute of America and has created a welcoming and friendly establishment where the food tastes good and makes you feel even better. The place is allergy-friendly, with all major allergens avoided but you'd never miss them anyway.
Read moreThe sandwiches, bowls, salads, and smoothies are all great. The menu rotates now and again so you can keep trying new things each visit.
The dessert case is the best I've seen and it's clear that the owner puts a lot of love into her work. So many different bites and treats and combinations, it's hard to choose a favorite. Luckily the place is between my college and my house, so perfectly situated for me to stop in on the way to or from. Quick and convenient ordering and service.
There's a relaxing eating area with tables around the back in-season, and to-go works as well. There's also nice seating inside where, I can picture myself spending some time once COVID allows.
Try this place! It's a great (and delicious) opportunity to support a local entrepreneur as they help to create a better, sweeter, and welcoming world, one bite at a time. :)

Lives up to the hype! - Edit
I had heard about this place from a friend and couldn’t wait to try it. Let me tell you, I was not disappointed! We had two toasts - Mediterranean avocado and sun butter fruit, a smoothie, and coffee, and everything was absolutely delicious. Before we left, we went back and stocked up on chocolates and cookies, and a loaf of the delicious bread to take home. Can’t wait to come back!

Thoughtful Treats - Edit
It was hard to choose what to get at Emy’s! It was not only delicious but creative, unique, and my non-vegan friend was shocked at how yummy it all turned out without dairy. Changing even the most skeptical minds and feeding my sweet tooth to boot!
