Not many Vegan options - Edit
We ate here today, arrived at 11:45 and ordered by 12pm. We wanted the set lunch menu that everyone was raving about, costing 20 bolivianos, but when we asked the lady if it was vegan she said "no" and was quite stressy about it, I asked in spanish if it had cheese "no" cream? "si", so I questioned the tofu curry, turned out that had cream too. So I asked what food on the menu was vegan, to which she responded with a sharp "falafel". We were pleased enough with this as my partner and I had been craving these for a while, but after we waited, 50 mins later she brought out what looked and tasted more like battered bread balls. We couldn't taste any chickpea, garlic or spices in it. Most disappointed to be honest.

The menu of the day was good value however served lukewarm. Ended up being sick for days. I know it’s hard to pin point however everywhere else we ate at beforehand was quite high end.

Good menu del día for 28bs - Edit
The menu del día option here was less basic and more substantial than the ones at Doña Franca and Mary Luz next door. For 28bs it includes soup with bread, a drink, a main dish, and dessert - the options for the day displayed on a sign out the front.
Read moreI think the catch with this place is that some of the dishes aren’t vegan by default, or aren’t simple to vegan-ise. E.g. when we ate there the dessert was fruit salad with yoghurt - easy to request to leave the yoghurt off. But on another day we walked past the dessert was “crema de tumbo” - presumably some sort of creamy dessert so not possible to vegan-ise.
Also tried to go here for dinner another time to try the a la carte menu, but they appeared closed and there was a sign in the window saying dinner only by reservation.
Pros: good value & tasty menu del día
Cons: trickier to vegan-ise, dinner seems to be reservation-only

Went there twice, was good both time, but not vegan. Servings are large and you’re not hungry when leaving. You have choice between two mains. Lots of local seems to come back every day, with is a good sign. Service is a bit slow though.

Humble but tasty set menu - Edit
Like many others here, we went for the set lunch time menu for 25 BOB which is a total steal. The food was humble, but had good flavours. We will be going back for something off the main menu, as we’re quite confident the quality will extrapolate well to a higher price😄

Menú del día cost bob. 25 for the 3 courses. They were always able to make it vegan except for the small dessert sometimes. Really enjoyed lunch here. Soups were great and really enjoyed the tofu curry.

After having tried to eat in three times and doors were closed, we contacted via WhatsApp and there was no explanation or information about the actual opening hours. Information on happycow and google are WRONG! Such a pity, as we were told it's the best place in Sucre. :-(

Not many vegan options, I ordered just the falafel, so I'll speak on it only: the falafels were really crunchy ( ) but very oily (-), and the spicy sauce that comes with it doesn't amount to a tablespoon, and the peanut sauce, which is perhaps the size of a tbs, wasn't too tasty. I don't think it matches the price (42bob) 😅

When I visited in July 2022 it was def not a vegetarian place however they offer a vegeterian and a vegan lunch menu and it’s good and cheap so I still recommend the place. For 25 Bolivianos you get a hearty soup, a vegan dish of the day (mine was pasta with veggies), a drink and some bread. The options in Sucre aren’t that many so for a lunch this is a good option.
