Nice place if you like spicy! - Edit
We went to this place because one of my non veggie friends wanted to try out vegan food. Most on the menu was not very creative, the usual burgers and sandwiches. However, there was one dish on the menu that looked different, so all three of us decided to try the Korean Bibimbap. The plate itself looked like the cook did not bother to make it look attractive. Everything was smacked on the plate, didn't look nice, which was a bad start. Then we took the first bite and experienced what spicy food tastes like. I know spicy food, have been traveling in China so I think I know spicy. But this was just ridiculously spicy, probably from the sriracha sauce. We complained about it, but the nice waiter told us we just weren't used to spicy food. They did offer us coffee on the house, so that was a nice gesture. The Tiramisu was delicious by the way. Not sure if I'll come here again.

Quite a disappointment - Edit
The portions of the salads are really small - I was still hungry after a salad and fries. The salad with fries costed 15 euros, so I expected a big bowl or plate. It looked more like an appetizer and was really disappointed after. The taste was good though. It was not an ordinary salad.
Read moreWhen I payed the bill and told the cashier about my disappointment, she said to me that they get to hear this a lot and if I would have said that it was too small, I would have gotten more. I was kinda flabbergasted and didn't know what to answer. If they know that customers complain about small portions and they are okay with giving bigger portions, why not tell us that when you serve me the dish? A simple 'if you like more, tell me' would have saved the meal.

Absolutely lovely people, absolutely great food, absolutely wonderful croissants. Big fan of their cakes and scrambled tofu. And the raw cherry cocoa is yum. Chocolate milkshake as well. Must-visit when in Amsterdam.

We went for lunch to Dophert and it was delicious. We shared a piece of cake afterwards, which was also amazing. I really enjoyed it here and will definitely go again!

Wow this place is great! The fries really are amazing and perfect to share. We also had the sandwich with seitan - it was delicious. Their cakes looks very yummy, unfortunately we didn't have any room left after our lunch. We will be back for cake another time!

Everything is vegan, made in the house, excellent mayonnaise, I wish I had their recipes to indulge myself on weekends.

Delicious food - Edit
Tried the Tofu scrambled with smoked tempeh, tomatoes and toast and it was fantastic. Additionally, they offer blueberry pancakes with agave sirup during weekends, so I gave them a try. The pancake batter was fried in a little bit too much butter (or oil), but were still delicious. All in all, I had a great time, so thumbs up DopHert!

A must go... All vegan, great menu & great relaxed setting. Service was excellent. Seriously the best vegan brunch, we ordered lots: scrambled tofu, with tempeh on toast (happy to adapt & remove tomato for me with no fuss) then my husband also had the breakfast burrito & I had the 5 stack blueberry pancakes, so delicious, you have got to try them. The chocolate milkshake was also the best I have ever tasted (and I haven't been vegan all my life - just shows you don't need dairy for taste or any other reason).

DopHert is a wonderful vegan restaurant that has delicious food, a wonderful atmosphere and terrific staff. We tried it for the first time for dinner and will definitely make it a regular place to eat. The cakes are to die for. I had two pieces since I am a vegan who adores sweets. I had a peanut butter and chocolate cake and carrot cake. Both were amazing. Then my spouse had the DopHert burger with french fries and salad and I had guacamole and chips. It was all tasty, substantial, and reasonably priced. They advertise vegan pancakes and tofu scramble for breakfast and we will hurry back for we are fans of breakfast and it is often difficult to get a substantial and tasty one. Do go there! You will not be disappointed. (Even the music is enjoyable.).

I would challenge anyone, vegan, vegetarian or omnivore to find tastier pancakes. The tofu scramble was delectable. It is a place we will return again and again.

Read moreMy friend ordered a salad which was quite expensive and when the salad came there was barely any lettuce. Lettuce doesn't cost much... So maybe just be more generous with it? :)
My meal was also way too small for the price I payed...
In general we had to order more in order to get full...there fore it got even more expensive...

Their cakes are a well-known affair all around Amsterdam. So you can't miss it for that reason! The rest of their menu is also great. We had a Mexican bowl and a burger, both 5 stars. The only thing that keeps us from going there more often is the location, too far from where we live. They have a nice selection of books about food, health and other related topics, plus a few shelves with products you can buy directly there.

Popped here for brekkie and almost stayed on for lunch ?? Breakfast is really good and fresh, if you are a fan of mock meats they do it very well here, if not give it go as you may well get the taste for what they create - we devoured the scrambled on toast & Club sandwich. Chai tea was delicious and the brownie pretty darn good too. Thank you DopHert ☮️❤

The place is beautiful and the staff funny, friendly and helpful. We had the scrambled tofu, well seasoned with 2 slices of side toast; one quite big juicy burger and the best grilled "cheese" I've had, with tomatoes and pesto. For dessert, we had the blueberry pancakes, thick and moist. All the portions were quite large and fulfilling and everything tasted great.

We tried their burgers and cakes, both were excellent. As far as I remember the burger made of seitan was my favorite, very creative and full of different flavorous. They have a small corner with vegan cosmetics, too.
