Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
The reason I went vegan was initially a health reason, but since then I learned so much more about animal abuse than in all the years before when I was a vegetarian, that I'm now much more compassionate about doing it to end animal suffering.
I joined HappyCow Members Community because:
I joined HappyCow because I already downloaded the app for my phone, and it helped me find some great vegan places when I was in cities where I wasn't familiar, and I wanted to add some vegetarian/vegan restaurants I came across on my travels, and I decided the join the website to do that.
Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:
I would love to go to the States, just for travelling and eating loads of Vegan food, there's so much available there. Especially compared to The Netherlands. Also, I'd love to go to Australia far more often than I have so far.
Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:
Smoothies, juices, avocado, vegan pizza, miso soups
