Love the food! - Edit
I visited on a beautiful Saturday summer evening and it wasn’t busy at all, so I easily got a spot in the parking lot.
Read moreThe staff was friendly and the food came out fast. I ordered the Sexy Chips which were savory and spicy and heavenly. The July pizza special, Nashville Hot Chicky, was delicious.
I’m not a beer person so I ordered the Kingston Mule which I wouldn’t have described as a mule, but I loved its refreshing fruitiness and ended up ordering a second.
This was my first stop in town (visiting from Minneapolis), and it was the perfect way to kick off my weekend in Milwaukee.
Pros: Delicious food , Good atmosphere

Brewery with vegan food - Edit
We got the BBQ pizza and nachos. Both were good, they seem like they focus more on the beer than the food but it's a fun atmosphere with arcade games and board games.

The Vegan Brewery and Arcade I need in my life... - Edit
I came to Milwaukee wanting a shake from On the Bus, but they were closed...so I found Dead Bird and was happily surprised! A fully vegan brewery AND arcade! We had so much fun and the food was great! The Loaded Nachos are a must.

Best Vegan Pizza I've had yet - Edit
In town for a conference, and this showed up as one of the only all-vegan spots near downtown Milwaukee.
Read moreGot the SHMO pizza and the Winter Cranberry Soda - both were outstanding!
Crust was just crispy enough, the sauce was rich, flavorful, and a just a little spicy. The cheese they used was just enough, and the sausage had both a great texture and even better flavor.
Absolutely going to come back the next time I'm in Milwaukee.
Pros: Great food, excellent drink menu

DBB BBQ tacos FTW - Edit
I think this will become my new favorite place. The vegan beef and chik’kin did not upset my stomach nor give me a run to the bathroom the next morning. The beer is great. Remember to being cash to turn into coins to play the video games, pinball machine and air hockey.

As a beer snob, I love that I can get vegan bar/pub food with some great beers. And they now have pizza!
Read moreMenu is always expanding and they try to source as local as possible.
They also have options to host events here (We rented the entire space for our wedding reception, that included catering options).

What a great brewery that not only has great vegan food with their own vegan cheese from sunflowers seeds, but also a lot of beers and sodas.

Vegan brewpub in Brew City - Edit
This place nails everything I wanted in a brewpub: a variety of good beers; a large, relaxing space to stretch out and move around in; entertainment (tons of classic arcade machines!); and excellent food. What makes it even better is that everything offered is vegan.
Read moreI went all over this beer city with friends and I just wanted a big damn pretzel and finally got one at Dead Bird. The pretzel is big and good and it comes with a powerful mustard and a tasty hot sauce and an option of beer cheese. The Cowboy Nachos were perfectly balanced and delicious: chili-sogged chips mixed with crunchy ones, queso, jalapeños. Every bite was loaded and great. It was a big plate and we ate to the end of it.
I’ll be back next time I’m in town.

Wanted to love this place - Edit
Only four beers on tap, the ones i had were decent though. Nothing i was really excited to try though.
Read moreThe chips and tacos were alright, nothing remarkable but that might be because I'm comparing to offerings in the Southwest and California. I sure was glad to have a vegan brewery with food options though. Not super impressed. I'd probably go back but not before trying other vegan restaurants in Milwaukee.

Rude Name - Edit
I cannot comment on the food, but I find the name of the place "Dead Bird Brewing" to be pretty rude. What kind of a name is that for a vegan place? Are they saying dead birds are good or funny? What's next: a vegan place called Dead Pig Diner? I find this disturbing.

Better Than First Class - Edit
I've been there twice now and each time was terrific. I love the beer choices and my selections were first class. But the food was even better! What's better than first class? I don't know, but something is and the food was! They use Impossible "meats" in their tacos and nachos, and I'm not sure what kind of "cheese" but we ordered both and absolutely loved them. I'm not a fan of the small size of the street tacos anywhere, but the loaded nachos serving size was gargantuan, we couldn't finish them all! I got to play Joust there, a game from my youth, and I got the top score! That's never happened to me ever, so I will always have extremely fond memories of Dead Bird. The beer, the food, the high-scoring game, good friends, a beautiful wedding reception on the 2nd visit, all in all - better than first class!

Delicious!!! - Edit
I absolutely LOVED this place! My bf and I ordered the street tacos, a Blanco taco, chips and salsa, and a half order of the loaded nachos. The full order nachos are HUGE by the way. We were famished, but even then we barely finished our food. It was all soooo good!! I wish we could come back before we leave. I had the rose lemonade as well and it was fantastic!
