Disappointing - Edit
Went there for dinner and was pretty disappointed. The food was ok, mostly salads and also not very flavorful or imaginative generally. Not sure if the buffet changes daily, can’t really explain all these positive reviews otherwise.

Buffet not open all day! - Edit
We came here excited for the buffet at 16.30 only to find it closed. Since this info isn't displayed here, I wanted to note it - it's somewhat until 15.30 and again from 18.30. The only savoury thing we could order where burgers and sandwiches, and the difference was huge! The sandwich was amazing whereas the burger was quite disappointing with a cold, mushy bean patty, something you'd get 10 years ago.

Great food with great value - Edit
I regularly eat here when I come to Porto.
Read moreThis time it was just as good but I didn’t like some of the foods they had available.
It’s a buffet place in a market so, if you have problems with noise, I would not recommend it. However, if you are around, please eat here.
Today they had an AMAZING carrot cake covered in chocolate!
Pros: Food, Staff
Cons: Loud

Disappointing - Edit
Was excited to try this as it has gotten so many positive reviews but found it pretty disappointing.
Read moreThe food was mostly salads a few warm vegetable or fake meat dishes and not very imaginative/creative. I’ve been to lots of vegan places around Porto and loved them, this was unfortunately the worst.
I’ve been vegan over 10 years, the dishes here seemed like dishes a non-vegan imagines vegans to eat. Apart from 1 seitan dish, none of the dishes included any protein sources (no tofu, tempeh or even beans and nuts).
Was excited to try the drinks too but when mine arrived it was pretty much all lime so was too acidic to drink unless mixed with water.

Very average tasting food. - Edit
The food was fine, I was excited because it was all quite healthy and looked tasty (see photo) but it just didn’t taste of much. It was also super disappointing and disturbing to see that people from another food place had brought cheesy pizzas and meat filled sandwiches in and were allowed to sit there and eat them despite a note note on the tables stating they don’t allow animal products in the cafe. Regardless of the cheap price I wouldn’t go again.

Amazing vegan buffet - Edit
This vegetarian/vegan restaurant chain is amazing! They have two stores in Porto, one on each side of the river. We tried and loved both. The one in the city center has more buffet options because it has more space. The one on the other side of the city in the market hall is smaller. Both buffets were fully vegan. The staff in both locations was superfriendly and the athmosphere was very good as well. Even my non-vegan friend liked it very much. And even people who can't eat wheat have enough options to eat and some desserts are labeled as gluten free and come with a list of their ingredients.

Lots of Variety w/ Great Drink Menu - Edit
We are not buffet people - but we liked this place. There is a variety to choose from, and some items rotate while during your meal. Service was nice, and the food had helpful descriptions.
Read moreI do wish they would cover the food, as some people are not very clean or hygienic around the food (licking their fingers). They have gloves available to use to pick up the food tongs. No one, except us, was using them.
Plenty of seating and a great drink menu to accompany the meal.

Lifesaver - Edit
This place saved me on my trip to Porto! I went once to the one in the city centre and twice to the one by the water. Simple but really nice food, buffet format means you won’t leave hungry. They had different dishes each time I went which gave great variety. Shame desserts aren’t included but the price is reasonable overall. Great!

Favorite restaurant in Porto - Edit
An all -you-can-eat buffet for an economic price (lunch on weekdays = 9€50). However, it was a bit of a pity that desserts were not part of the buffet (for a higher price of course but it would have been an occasion to taste several ones).

Good vegan food - Edit
I'm already super familiar with Daterra. The price is good for an all you can eat vegan buffet, with a nice variety of dishes. In this particular location I got a takeaway box. I'd say it's fair for the price considering you can fill it up to the brim. The food lacked some salt but that's the case in most of their restaurants. They did not offer or had available cutlery for takeout, which I found really inconvenient as I was on the go.

Good value for money - Edit
Nice location within the market hall. There's quite a large selection of food to choose from and when you pay for the buffet option you can visit as many times as you wish. I would like to see covers for the food as it's all just on plates on a counter and I think it would be more hygienic with covers that could be lifted/removed. Staff were friendly and informed me that everything was fully vegan but some things are still labelled as vegetarian because they previously offered vegetarian options. Would an interested to try the other outlets in the city.

Something changed?? - Edit
Our visit didn't start off great when we asked the cashier whether it was vegetarian or vegan, and his response was "What's the difference?". Luckily there were Vegan labels on some, though not all of the food, so we gave it the benefit of the doubt, and just took the Vegan labeled stuff.
Read moreThe food ranged from... mediocre to bland.. Some of it seemed completely unseasoned, and some of it tasted like it had probably been on display for a long time.
We actually felt quite bad throwing away all of the soup we had grabbed. We normally never waste food, but it was just so bland that no amount of salt or pepper would fix it.
Judging from the other reviews and their pictures, this place changed drastically over the last several weeks. It didn't seem anything like what the other reviews suggested
Pros: Cheap price for unlimited food
Cons: Don't know the difference vegan and vegetarian??!!, Most of the food was very very bland, Cashier seemed uninterested
