Excellent find in a bustling food market - Edit
We stumbled on this place on our way to Taylors port. It's in Gaia on the south bank of the Douro opposite Porto and it's a spectular walk over the high level bridge. The food market is a bustling place with lots of stalls and a bar and Daterra is a fully vegan "all you can eat" self service outlet. Lots of choice and great value at €12.50 (you can go back and re-fill your plate!) with a decent range of desserts available at extra cost. The food was delicious and the lady who served us was very friendly and helpful.

Love this vegan buffet in Gaia! - Edit
Loved this all-you-can-eat vegan buffet located in this food hall in Gaia. The menu is fully vegan (despite it being called “restaurante vegetariano). I tried almost all the available dishes — while a couple were just okay, most were delicious! You can make as generous of a portion size as you want. The buffet option also comes with a side soup!

There’s indoor and outdoor seating for all the food stalls within this market. The sign says cash only but they took credit card!

Went for dinner at 7:30 pm. Super cheap and yummy! It’s in a food market, so my non-vegan fellow travelers were able to get other food. They tried mine, though, and enjoyed it!

This is a cute place within the food market. The idea is a help yourself style serving. There is loads of choice, both hot and cold options, all vegan and all delicious. I also had the homemade lemonade.

Great place to stop for a quick , relishes, affordable feast. You sit at tables in a shared space with many other shops. The people near us were jealous of our plates of interesting food (with free refills) while they ate some boring over priced pizza.
