We were so excited to stumble upon this vegan bakery in Salt Lake City - Edit
We literally stumbled upon this bakery (while charging our electric car nearby) and were delighted when we asked "What's vegan?" and the lovely woman behind the counter replied: "Everything". What brought us into the bakery was that they had a sign for a local Salt Lake City Vegfest in their window. I will say HappyCow needs to mark then as vegan rather than vegetarian. The staff couldn't have been more pleasant. We got the vegan lettuce wraps to go and they were great as well as some baked snacks of course.

I've been a City Cakes customer for many years, and I just never learn. Unfortunately, I am forced to go due to my daughter's food allergies. They've made birthday cakes for me that virtually fell apart, had dried out cupcakes or most recently they forgot my order! I drove 45 minutes to pickup a birthday cake for my daughter, that was ordered weeks ago, and when I get there, I was informed they never made it. I have a birthday, and no cake. What did they offer? Pickup one of our leftovers and we'll give you half off. I bid you farewell City Cakes.

Scones, cookies, Mac n cheese, and so much more! - Edit
So many wonderful vegan options and they’re gluten free so my aunt could enjoy with me! When I got there, they had just put out some cookies and they were so fresh. The prices were super reasonable too in my opinion. People working are super nice and it was a comfortable place to sit down and eat. Highly recommend!!!

Great baked goods, but weak food selection - Edit
We had three baked goods and they were all great. We tried the soup and didn't like it. The food heating setup is with a microwave, so we wouldn't recommend it as a venue for a meal.

Got the almond poppyseed muffin, pecan sandie, and the chocolate dipped pecan sandie and they were delicious!! I haven't had a almond poppyseed muffin in years and was excited to try this one out and fell in love with the flavour of it. The cookie was perfectly sweet and tasty. Definiently make sure you visit this place.

Yummy brownie and dbl choco cookie - Edit
Wish they had ice cream to go with the brownie. Too many cupcakes. I was hoping for more variety. I was expecting more cakes and pastries. The yummy looking cover photo of that fruit tart wasnt even at the bakery.

cafe mostly offers packaged food - Edit
They must have recently changed their menu and process because the cafe portion is largely a cooler with packaged food. There’s two microwaves staff direct customers to heat up the food (in another container if you don’t like microwaving food in plastic). It all tasted pretty good, but places that specialize in vegan food often care about waste. This place must not because offering food this way is an incredible waste of packaging that likely gets thrown away. Food did taste good, but it was a largely disappointing experience.

They have good cupcakes, cheesecake and tiramisu! Also the cheese potato wrap and Mac and cheese are delicious. Love this place, just wish they had the berry cheesecake more as opposed to the chocolate one :)
