It's okay - Edit

I am surprised by all the strong reviews for Chillin Cafe. It was okay food, but not great. The atmosphere is a little cramped and not particularly cute. The service was really good, but it did feel like I was sort of in the way. I had a paella that was definitely more of a fried rice dish. I would go there if you have no other options (between 4pm and 9pm) but I wouldn't seek it out during peak hours when there are so many other great places in Madrid.

Amazing Vegan Food!!! - Edit

My boyfriend and I are visiting from Australia, and Chilling Cafe would easily beat other vegan cafes we’ve been too! The coffee was incredible, we had to get another before we left! I had the tomato, olive oil and oregano which was so simple but delicious and my boyfriend had the savoury pancakes which were amazing!
Defiantly going to come back before we leave!

My Favorite Cafe - Edit

Chillin' is seriously my favorite cafe in Madrid. The owners are so friendly, and the food is amazing! Such a cute atmosphere, perfect to study or take friends for brunch. I'm so happy to support an all-vegan business like this. I would definitely recommend stopping by if you're going to be in Madrid!

Pros: Cute atmosphere, Kind owners, All-vegan

Muy rico y sano - Edit

Fuimos a desayunar y era difícil saber que pedir de todo lo que había. Yo me tomé un smoothy de fresa que estaba genial. Y unos típicos americanos con mucha fruta y sirope de agave. Me encantó.

Cool Vibes - Edit

A hidden gem in central Madrid - Edit

The name says it all, when you go inside not only you sense the incredible aroma of coffee in the but also the super relaxed vibe of the place. Their coffee is excellent, and so is the food.
Super friendly staff who speaks English.

All the food is great! Do try the croquetas, amazingly decadent and yummy.

Pros: Vibe, Coffee, Staff

Cons: A bit more mayo on the side would be nice

vegan vibes on point - Edit

Made my way here for brunch on a Sunday morning. The music was perfect, the oat milk latte was delish, the savory pancake (spinach, tomato, and “ham”) was a savory biscuit topped with the aforementioned ingredients - it was delightful.

Pros: atmosphere and vibe, English menu (and English speaking staff), free Wi-Fi

Cons: nada.

Vegan Tiramisu ! - Edit

This place was an excellent find during my stay in Madrid. It’s a little off the beaten track, but still close enough to big tourist areas that it’s not a hassle to get to.

I had a matcha latte and a tiramisu. Both were absolutely excellent. I’ve never seen vegan tiramisu as an option before and was ecstatic to try it. I was not disappointed.

The barista working there when I went was really kind and spoke very good english.

I would highly recommend a visit if you are in Madrid and looking for a hot drink or something sweet.

Pros: Excellent Quality Food & Drink, Good Service, Accessible Location

Vegan gem - Edit

This place is a cafe and not a restaurant, and completely vegan, something rare to find in Madrid. They got a big choice of drinks, desserts, and also proper food, like tapas, salads and more. The taste is very good and prices are incredibly cheap. Plus the staff was very nice. Looking forward to be back!

Great vegan brunch! - Edit

I've been there twice for a brunch and love this place. In the vegan brunch, you get a starter (to choose among 3), a small cup of oat flakes with dehydrated raspberries, a soup of the day, a main dish (to choose among 7 or 8), a slice of cake (to choose among 2) and a hot drink. It is really affordable and the food is very good. Their cakes are amazing and generous. I also tried the pancakes, among the best I've ever eaten. The staff is very friendly and efficient, you are quickly served and the place is quite pleasant. I will definitely come back.

Pros: 100% vegan, yummy food, vegan brunch, terrific pancakes and pastries, friendly staff

One of my new favorite places - Edit

Nice, small place with great food at affordable prices. You can order the daily menu, breakfast options, brunch, cakes or plates à la carte all day long. Everything I tried was very tasty, even my non-veggie friend was very satisfied. Friendly, beautiful, international people and super nice staff make you feel welcome. :-)

One of the nicest vegan places in Madrid - Edit

Cosy corner with a very nice menu for brunch or ligth meals. Everything cooked with love and served with the biggest kindness and politeness. It is very quiet and usually not crowded, so it's ideal to meet your friends and have a talk without disturbance.

Pros: Tasty food, Very kind waiters, A peaceful corner in the city center

American vegan travelers - Edit

They had great coffee (regular latte and a rose iced latte is what we got, both amazing). The chocolate sponge cake was a wonderful bubbly texture but the flavor was a bit bland besides the chocolate chips, mostly tastes like banana. The chocolate cake was good but had a strange texture, not bad just not like cake. It was very dense. Overall would recommend.

One can sit here all day.. - Edit

I have had lunch and breakfast so far and I can see myself walking back to this little Café until the Happy Cow comes home!😄
I have had green tea matcha hot and cold and I wish I could order it in a bucket!it's creamy and smooth, beautifully presented.I ordered a smoothie and it came in a jar, with kiwi fruit slices for decoration.
My Spanish tortilla was tasty and slightly nutty flavoured, perhaps slightly dry but delicious. Then,a Tiramisu with brownies and cream, light and chocolaty and yummy!
What a precious little Vegan Heaven,it's worth a visit no doubt.Actually I prescribe a hot drink and a pud for every Vegan and non passing by Madrid!!!!!

Pros: Peaceful location , 100% vegan, Friendly staff

Cons: None

Nice place - Edit

Sincerely, the entrance in this place is not welcoming at all. It is located in a small street and with no clear indication, so in my opinion it is very easy to miss the café.

However it is worth to get inside. They offer some coffee and desserts. I tried a chocolate cake with some type of "ferrero rocher" stuff and it was very tasty. Also my friend asked for a breakfast and was as good as my cake. I also tried a vegan whipped cream for the first time and it was very good. We also were offered to try a traditional Japanese (I hope so, or from another asian country) tea that was delicious.

To sum up, the food is good, the staff is nice but the deco, I would change it a little.

Pros: nice desserts, staff

Cons: decoration

The day you came I was not there, but i tried to know what had happened, they are the family of the waiter and they are not vegan neither, although we are vegan but we never refuse our friends and family to keep their life style, we just do ourselves and explain our idea to them, but the situation like this time not going to happened again .Then I'd like to explain our management idea to you if you like to read. We welcome all of the world to come to our little coffee shop, we'd like people to try our vegan food, although maybe they are not vegan now, that's why we have dishes of imitations, in this way, we will try our best to make them better, thank you for your review, we are keep trying, so we also have weekly menu which are new dishes for every week depends on the temporal vegetables and other foods. I hope maybe next time when you come to Madrid, can give us another opportunity, we will show you a better chilling cafe. Imprescindible - Edit

Lugar pequeñito con muy buena decoración. Comí de menú y esa semana tenían especial en él tempura, bao "de mar" y gelatina de té, así que escogí esa opción. Todo exquisito, probablemente la mejor comida vegan que he probado fuera de casa.
