Serves meat, vegan options available. Specializes in two types of Peruvian cuisine: Peruvian criollo and chifa cuisine. For every dish on the menu, it offers a vegetarian version. Try the vegetarian ceviche and the vegetarian kalu wantan with a pineapple sweet and sour sauce. Open Mon-Fri 12:00pm-9:00pm, Sat 6:00pm-10:00pm, Sun 12:00pm-9:00pm. Closed Wed.

Such flavour filled dishes 💚 Looking at the menu I'll admit that I was not massively inspired. There were 5 main dishes on the vegetarian menu page, we ordered 3 of them and they were all absolutely delicious! The chef is enthusiastic about vegan food and his flare for flavour combinations is extraordinary

Happy cow won’t allow a five star for mixed food restaurants. Fair but you all must know this is the best veggie food ever. Seriously, if you find yourself ANYWHERE in Central America then come here and enjoy the best food.

Great, even with vegan alterations - Edit
We ordered the Causa Vegetariana and they immediately asked if we were OK with the mayo...so we requested no mayo (vegan version) and it was still so creamy and good bcz the potatoes are blended to a creamy consistency. We also had the Tofu Saltado that was on the vegetarian menu. It is a sweet and sour sauce, which I usually don't like, but this was nice a subtle. 4 stars for a nice selection of vegetarian and vegan items and for staff offering the option to make something vegan.

We ate dinner here both the nights we were in town, the food was that good. The vegan options are clearly marked, and the owner is very helpful with helping you to choose. The food is so flavourful, you really have to come here to appreciate how good it is. There's a nice ambiance and you can see the open kitchen when the food is being prepared - always a good sign!

Delicious, unique cuisine - Edit
The food here was fantastic! Tons of vegan options and everything is super fresh and perfectly seasoned. Some really unique dishes too that I've never encountered elsewhere. Definitely the culinary highlight of La Fortuna, don't miss it! We loved the artwork on the walls, too!

I don’t know why HappyCow won’t let me give this place 5 stars, because it was legitimately some of the best food my sister and I have had in our lives. The family who runs it is so sweet, and the vegan options are OUT OF THIS WORLD. I cannot oversell this place- we went two night in a row and brought our friends from the hostel and they all agreed - vegan or not, it’s incredible food. I wish they would move to my city, it’s honestly that good.

The menu is laid out clearly, making vegan options obvious. And there's a good selection to choose from! I ate here twice and enjoyed it both times. The Peruvian Wontons are a real winner, and I had a frosty pineapple drink that was one of the best things ever - especially on a hot La Fortuna afternoon. This is my wife's favorite place in La Fortuna, and I certainly look forward to going back there.

I wished I could rate this place 5 stars as the food really was superb with incredible smoky and fruity flavours. It was like an explosion of different aromas, so do not miss to grab some food at this place when you are in La Fortuna. The owner is incredibly friendly, helpful, knows a lot about foods and health benefits and above all has a great world view and inclusive approach.

We came here for our Valentines Day dinner on our vacation and would go back so fast!!!! The owner came to greet us and explained everything that could be vegan, which is a lot!!! The food was sooooo fresh and flavorful. I've never had true Peruvian food, just items typically used. I am now a massive fan!!!! I love supporting small family businesses. I highly recommend this place!!!!!

This is the first time I’d tried Peruvian food and was delicious - truly amazing. The menu could be clearer regarding the vegan options, but like all restaurants I ate at in Costa Rica, the staff were extremely helpful and attentive when asked about it.

Family Owned Peruvian Restaurant in the Middle of Tourist Central - Edit
The middle of La Fortuna is a center for tourists. This means you walk through a sudden flourish of pizza and sushi but tucked in is a cute Peruvian restaurant. The food took a little while but the rice was delicious. The service was good, our waiter very aware of what vegan was.

Dedicated page of vegan options with English on the full menu, and there are vegan items not on the vegan page as well. The Tofu Saltado was my favourite, and the wontons were very good as well! Good pricing (roughly $10 per dish) and portions.

Great options, about 3 with tofu and 2-3 with just vegetables. Noodles, stir fry, but also got to try Chifa options eg sticky tofu and veg with rice and cassava.

Best vegan food in the area! - Edit
You need to go here! The food is filling, and there's an entire page on the menu dedicated to vegan options. Everything is labeled so well, it even shows on the menu when egg is in a dish. The app doesn't let me give 5 stars but they deserve it. The service is the best out of all the restaurants I've tried in the area, and the owner cares a lot about making great vegan food. I got the Tofu Saltado and Kam lu Wantan, both were delicious. The sauces they use here are so great. The prices are low. The inside of the restaurant is very beautiful too.
