Great food, nice place - a must-go in Barcelona! - Edit
Eating at Chez Kessler was a great discovery. The place is very pleasant and calm with a green terrace in the middle of Barcelona. The food offered is of very good quality, with Barcelona cheeses and very good dishes. I loved the blue cheese gnocchi, as well as their cocktails. This is one of the must-visit vegan places in Barcelona!

As Barcelona regulars, I cannot believe that we have not been to Chez Kessler before now. This will be a regular haunt for future trips! A beautiful space, with incredibly friendly people, and amazing food!
Read moreDuring our visits, we gravitated towards the tapas options - patatas bravas (not the usual style, so you can decide on how much or how little sauce you want - see picture), smoked salmon with caviar (I’ve never tried smoked salmon substitutes before, but this was fab), vegan shrimp, excellent tomato bread, and the most delicious cheese board with a selection of chutneys (included Camembert, a blue cheese and a fantastic smoked cheese).
Desserts include the wonderful Lotus Madness - a mousse made from lotus biscoff, topped with cream. We were not the only table enjoying this!
I cannot recommend this place enough, even at the risk of making it harder for us to get a table on our next visit to Barcelona!

This was by far our favorite restaurant in Barcelona! Came here 2 nights in a row it was that good. Everything we had was so gourmet, unique, and delicious.

Some of our favourite dishes were: Potato bravas (not fried and served with 2 delicious dipping sauces), Shitake tower was scrumptious, Exotic explosion also so unique and incredibly yummy, and Lotus madness dessert.
They have 2for1 happy hour from 6-8 pm and we really enjoyed their Spritzers. The waitress was super friendly and helpful. Very enjoyable experience! This restaurant should be written up in all the restaurant guides as one of the best in Barcelona.

I had the cheese and salami platter the vegan fois gras and they were both fantastic and beautifully presented. The place is on a nice quiet corner close to Passeig de Gracia and it was really nice to sit outside.
Read moreI tried to go back a couple of times to try the breakfast, but the place was closed even though it was during the opening hours listed on Happy Cow, so you may want to check in advance. I'll definitely try again next time I'm in Barcelona.

Everything was perfect. Went there twice. One time for Dinner and one time for brunch. For Dinner we had the mixed vegan plate which was awesome. Also the vegan shrimps were a very good choice. Dessert was also awesome.

Si no sabes que es vegano es possible que ni te des cuenta. Soy vegana y me encantó ir a este bar, me sentí por primera vez en mucho tiempo que no me estaba limitando en la comida y estaba disfrutandi de platos típicos que perfectamente podrían servirte en un restaurante no vegano. Fue la primera vez que voy y pienso volver! Fui con 2 amigas omnívoras y les encantó. Los camareros muy amables.
Read moreProbamos la tabla de quesos y embutidos. El queso que más nos gustó fue el azul. Estaba brutal y realmente parecía queso. Los embutidos me encantaron porque parecia que estuviera comiendo carne real. Recomiendo la tabla mixta para probar un poco de todo y cuesta 13e aprox que no está mal teniendo en cuenta el precio de los quesos veganos.
También probamos los tacos que nos recomendaron y muy buenos.
La ensaladilla rusa también estaba brutal, le añaden olivas y le da un toque muy sabroso.
Pedimos también un plato con setas reducido al pedro ximénez muy muy rico.
También nos recomendaron la burger que es la de Moving Mountain y la verdad que muy rica y quizás de las mejores logradas en sabor.
Para acabar pedimos dos postres, el de cheese cake y otro que nos recomendaron a base de galleta Lotus. Brutal éste último.
Primera vez que vamos y volveremos muy pronto!! Muchas gracias a los camareros y al restaurante por esta experiencia.

Nice area on street corner enclosed with plants. A bit noisy with traffic, but great to be outside. Went in to the restaurant and it smelled like smoke, so best to be outside. Cheese plate was delicious, and hubby liked the Fusion Asiatica. First time either of us had tried a vegan ‘shrimp’. Served it’s purpose and worked well in the dish! Cheese cake was surprisingly good. Also our first vegan cheesecake.

Very beautiful place, with charming atmosphere and quick service where you can enjoy reasonably priced tapas in a fancier party of the city.
Read moreMost tapas were around the 5€ mark, which was great for sharing. They didn't shy away from using higher end ingredients either which I appreciated. Recommend the fried sweet potatoes with truffle mayo in particular. Cheesecake was delicious but tiny, would order again though, so don't trust me.
All around it made for a great, varied, adequately priced dinner in a more intimate atmosphere than the average vegan place.

Modern tapas bar with montaditos as well as main dishes. I really liked the experience: the ambience is quiet and welcoming and the staff is super nice. The food is amazing! We had baba ganoush, the sweet potatoes, the bacon tortilla and strawberry cheesecake. Everything was delicious. I will definitely come back soon!

I seriously ate a vegan croissant at this restaurant every single morning I was in Spain. I loved it and the staff were so friendly. I wish I could’ve eaten at this place more while I was in town. It was definitely one of my favorites of my trip.
