Update 2023: less nice than I remember it, but certainly not bad. The curries seemed less oily than your standard Indian takeaway and it was fantastic to see them use compostable vegware rather than plastic.

We usually get takeaway and it’s very useful to have a separate vegan menu. The dishes also seem to change seasonally so it’s difficult to get bored

Three of us for lunch chose 3 sharing plates between us and a curry dish with bread each. Delicious food, lovely combinations of flavours, beautifully presented. Highly recommended.

Chai Naasto are so friendly and helpful I can’t praise the staff enough. The decor is charming and modern and it’s a lovely place to eat with family and friends or on a date night. The menu is really clearly marked and the food is delicious. I’ve let them know I’m vegan and they’ve made me dairy-free lassi and other curries that we’re superb. A great vegan-friendly spot in Beckenham.

There aren't many vegan friendly restaurants in this area so its nice to find somewhere that actually labels dishes as vegan, which they do here. The food and the vibe are different to the usual Indian restaurant. The food is unique and creative and the decor is colourful and funky. They also sell interesting cocktails. Considering how far you'll need to travel to get to a fully veggie resto this is a great one to know about for this area.
