Amazing multi-course vegan menu in gorgeous setting

Incredible, beautiful setting in an old restored farmhouse (16 or 17 c.?) Outdoor and I door seating available.

We found the place on Happy Cow, and I was so excited to find a full vegan menu after subsisting on endless focaccia alone.

We ate there for dinner and it was awesome. My husband had the non vegan menu, and I had the vegan one (vegetarian menu also available). It was 5 courses for only ~50 Euros/person depending on the menu, which was a great price for what we were served.

The service was super friendly and knowledgeable, suggesting a great bottle of local wine to go with our meal.

They also have a BnB and I bet it would be lovely to stay there as well.

This place is to be commended for dedicating an entire vegan menu in an area of the world where this food is hard to find. The quality of the food was excellent, the ambience beautiful, and I'd highly recommend it.

FYI - You do need a car/taxi to get there, as it's on the outskirts of Alba.

Great experience, beautiful place

I go to this place regularly and must say that it’s really great. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, they grow their own products, the place is beautiful, and they offer a full vegan menu inspired by traditional dishes.
We had three appetisers: pappa al pomodoro, a traditional Tuscan dish with wet bread in tomato sauce, the traditional “antipasto Piemontese” (a cold ratatouille), and a delicate cold salad with vegetables and vegan mayonnaise. We then had trofie (Ligurian fresh pasta) with fresh tomatoes, followed by homemade falafel and pea cream. We finished with a vegan mousse with wild fruit coulis. Bread, focaccia and grissini are homemade with their wheat flour. Also the red wine we had is made out of their own vineyard.
Definitely a place to strongly recommend.
Gluten-free vegan menu upon request.

Beautiful Food and Wine Experience

The restaurant was fantastic, with both indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the hills and vineyards of the Alba countryside. They have a separate vegan plant-based menu, and you can get a vegan tasting menu with wine or order individual items. They make their own house wines, including Arneis and a Barbera/Nebbiolo blend, as well as amaro and grappa. They also grow their own grains (cereali antichi) for pasta, and use vegetables from their own garden. The highlights of the menu were the celeriac carpaccio, pasta with pesto made of hazelnuts and arugula, farro salad with mint, tofu cooked with laurel and cream of almonds and hazelnuts, and the chocolate salami dessert. I found the vegetable and pasta/grain dishes really the most creative and interesting, while the "meat" dishes such as the seitan steak did not stand out as much. Since we stayed at the agriturismo, we also had breakfast, and they made vegan options available for guests, including soy milk and rice milk, and a wonderful hazelnut and chocolate cake.

Pros: Beautiful outdoor scenery, Vegan tasting menu with wine, House-grown vegetables and grains

Great food and location

I eat at Casa Scaparoni every now and then and it never disappoints me. A few years ago you had to tell them in advance if you were vegan but now they have a 100% vegan menu every day that changes frequently according to the availability of products and often offers remarkable dishes. The location is very suggestive and particular and the food is mostly organic, self-produced (for example they make their own pasta with ancient grains) and always fresh (they don't even have a freezer!). The place is not cheap - 35 euros for the tasting menu- but the quality is great and portions are large. Absolutely recommended.
