No glory

Heel saai.

Pros: Veel speciaal biertjes!

Save your tastebuds

The food was just bad. The first thing the server said to us was “your table number is 25, just in case, I’m not around”. Never saw her again after she took our order.

Will be back

I can't believe I've lived in Cambridge so long and only just tried this spot. Lovely cosy ambience and so many yummy options. Would love to come back and try more from the menu. Tried the pumpkin ravioli and burger, can recommend both!

Amazing steak

My first 3D printed vegan steak and difficult to distinguish from actual steak. Beautifully cooked with a nice crispy edge and well presented with seasonal vegetables. Followed by a pear crumble packed with plenty of pears.

Super food, ok Service

Food was excellent and very well presented. Have eaten here before and once again it didn't disappoint. In fact, I would go so far as to say it was better. Unfortunately the same can't be said for the service.

Pros: Food was awesome

Cons: Service was way too casual

Extensive menu, but a bit pricey

We tried items from the Easter menu which to be frank were quite pricey for what they were. The desserts (pictured) were absolutely phenomenal though. We’ll be back to try stuff from the regular menu and reassess. Four stars for now, and I would still recommend a visit - 100% vegan restaurant with plenty of choices in a nice ambient is definitely a winner!

A miss

I have visited here before a couple years ago and it was great, so I was excited to go again. Unfortunately, it wasn't the best experience. They don't give you much time, table was booked for 6:45 and we were told it would have to be returned at 8, which is much quicker than in other restaurants. The food came out very quickly so this wasn't an issue of not having enough time to eat but it did feel a bit rushed so maybe not the best for a more relaxing dining experience.

The food was also not amazing which is a shame because it was really nice last time; the fake meat in the starter we tried and my bf's main was quite flavourless, but my tofu dish was yummy. It is also a little bit on the pricey side so it is disappointing when the experience doesn't live up to the price tag.

Oh well, I am disappointed but I would give it another go - just not in a rush to go back. This might have just been a one off

Pros: A broad menu with lots of variety

Cons: You don't get the table for long, Food not very flavourful this time

Delicious food

Lovely fresh, clean decor and a good range on the menu.
Loved the food, and the service was great too. The only shame, is that it's in Cambridge because I don't live there!

Pros: Friendly staff, Great food, Some nut free choices

Great restaurant

This restaurant is a must visit if you're in Cambridge. The space is airy and comfortable, the staff attentive and welcoming and the food is just great.
We had two starters, the kimchi pancakes and the oyster mushroom and artichokes, both exceptionally flavour full.
We then had tempeh tikka masala (very fresh, spicy and good quality tempeh), the tofu "sea bass" (again, original and full of flavour), and pumpkin ravioli in mushrooms sauce, these were exceptional, do not miss if they are on the menu.
For dessert we had the tiramisu which was great and the pear crumble, maybe a tad too sweet but the pears were caramelised to perfection.

Pros: Fantastic food, Relaxed atmosphere

Disappointing visit after previous great experiences

. I have recommended Stem and Glory to friends both vegan and non vegan. All have visited and usually have positive feedback. I haven't been for a few months and this was a very special occasion. I was meeting my very close friend who I haven't seen for quite some time, for our Christmas get-together. The assistant manager who greeted us was very hospitable and an asset to your team.

However, the waiter did not smile, had no interpersonal skills whatsoever and spoke in a monotone voice which made us feel that he didn't want to be there.

We then chose our meals. We both had the 'crab cakes' which were delicious. My friends aubergine main was fine but my Asian bowl was a third cucumber, quite tasteless and over smothered in mayonnaise.

I mentioned this to the manager and he did discount it from the bill and give us a complimentary glass of prosecco. But I paid £48 for what was a very disappointing lunch for us. I left feeling hungry and rather let down after being a great supporter of this restaurant.

Nice meal

We had a nice meal at Stem and Glory but I was left a little underwhelmed by the experience. We booked ahead to say that it was for a birthday celebration and asked if a nice table could be reserved, this didn’t happen. The service was then quite slow. The main food was lovely and really tasty but it was then let down again by slow service and by this time had become irritating (it was not busy). We got desserts to go because of this but I also found these underwhelming. They also automatically add a service charge which is not cool. All in all nice but I won’t be rushing back.

Charming restaurant near railway station

This is a great place for a plant based meal with charming table service and a wide range of inventive options. Cauliflower wing starter had great batter and creamy dip. The (mushroom) scallops were sophisticated but needed something to give them some edge. The Szechuan aubergine with kimchi rice was amazing with a delightful kick of heat and sour twang. The ‘sea bass’ tofu fillet was ok but the accompanying potatoes were under seasoned and a little saggy, with tomato concasse that jarred. £70 for two courses plus a drink each. Well worth a visit but be careful what you choose if you’re into strong flavours

Pros: Atmosphere , Wide range vegan options , Friendly service

Cons: Quite a walk from city centre, Sone dishes underwhelming flavour punch

Great experience!

We came here after being gifted a 2 course meal with wine from red letter days. Booking in over the phone was easy with very friendly service from Matt.

On the day we were running late and I rang up and again Matt was very friendly and reassured us they would keep our table for us. It’s lucky they did because when we arrived it was completely full bar our table!

The food itself was delicious! Me and my wife opted to share a starter, 2 mains and a dessert and it was all great. For the starter we got King Oyster Scallops. The mushrooms had the perfect texture and the cauliflower purée and sauce were both just delicious.

For mains we had Pumpkin Ravioli and Swede Gnocchi. Again they were both excellent with delicious textures and flavours. The ravioli was my highlight of the whole visit and I also loved the gnocchi which had a really rich flavour.

For dessert we had the Caramel Tiramisu. I didn’t enjoy it as much as the savoury food but it was still good and a generous size.

To drink I had a Virgin Colada mocktail which was sweet and tasty.

The staff were all lovely as well - super friendly and helpful at all times.

All in all a great experience and I would definitely recommend!

Pros: Friendly staff, Delicious food, Cosy restaurant

Lovely place with nice food

Great service, friendly staff, and very attentive.
I had the Italian Fish Stew “Cioppino” - it was delicious! Very tasty, lovely mix of textures from the mushroom to the tofu, you wouldn’t tell there was tofu in it. I guess the ‘scallops’ were made out of heart palms. Highly recommended.
All of the desserts are gluten free, so I wasn’t very keen on trying them but I decided to order the Caramel Tiramisu. Unfortunately, it was a big let down, very very dry, even after adding the espresso that was given on the side, hardly any ‘mascarpone cream’, and overall the taste was just not there. I didn’t even bother finishing it. Do not recommend.
The overall experience was nice, the ambience, the service and the main savoury meal.
I would definitely go back to try other dishes from the menu.

Lovely long lunch

We had a few hours before our train so popped in here for lunch, given how close it is to the train station. We were not disappointed!

Great savoury pancakes to start, followed by an excellent tempeh tikka and delicious pumpkin ravioli. We ordered some green veg on the side and were delighted to find it was a good portion size as we were lacking veggies after a few days away! Dessert was tirimisu and a raw cheesecake. All delicious.

Nice drinks too. Great service, a lovely all round place to spend some time.

Awesome food – great combinations!

Awesome food – great combinations! Outstanding taste of the dessert (hot pear with crumble and vanilla ice cream). I would want to eat my way through the entire menu. Vegan is so wonderful. That`s definitely a place to convince people to try vegan food more often. More people need to be open and taste the healthy high standard food explosion in places like Stem & Glory. Vegan is more than just fast food like burgers and Wraps and Stem & Glory shows us.

Pros: Good portion sizes.

Cons: Light could be more cozy.

Food here was so nice. Would give 4.5 stars if possible. Really amazing flavours, presentation and fresh, locally produced ingredients. Would definitely come again any time I'm near that part of Cambridge (train station area).

Only dissapointing bit was the ambience, felt a bit too much like a cafe than a restaurant. A woman eating next to us was sitting on her chair cross-legged and barefoot 🤮. The staff ignored us a bit - we would have ordered a lot more drinks

Pros: Food! , Next to the train station , Good for drinks, lunch and dinner

Lovely lunch

Visited for a birthday lunch. The food was amazing. We had Bang Bang Brocoli with kimchi rice and Swede Gnocchi. We should have gone with the small plate version, however, because we were too full to try their desserts.

Pros: Friendly service , Good food, Nice atmosphere

Super tasty and good portions

Loved this place! Menu is extensive and everything sounds super yummy. We got the parmesan pizza (one of the best vegan pizzas we've both had) to share and a small plate (mushroom and 'gorgonzola' gnocchi - super tasty!) and we were so full we couldn't manage dessert, which sounded amazing. We went on a Sunday evening and it was a bit quiet, would have liked more of an atmosphere, but the food was incredible.

Vegan perfection

Amazing food, such a range of tastes and sizes of meals. The server, Adele, was well informed about the menu, and took the time to chat with us about our trip (anniversary meal). The food arrived in good time and was delicious. The atmosphere was perfect, busy but quiet enough to feel intimate. Would definitely return.
