Amazing

The menu allows for a lot of the mains to be ordered as starters in a smaller portion which makes it a lot easier if you are indecisive
Their pizza is customisable and you can choose your own toppings which include vegan meats as well as veggies

Pros: Completely vegan

Cons: Expensive

We wanted to give one star

The only thing that is vegan about this place is the fact that the ingredients are not animal based.

Perhaps this business started well but it’s now just a business. We had three courses. No joy in any of the dishes apart from maybe the Korean fish tacos. Curry - made by someone who either loves a curry based on nothing but the flavour of cloves, or more likely is not really into curry. Gnocchi pieces were quite well made but sauce utterly tasteless. So called sourdough pizza not sourdough (to be fair waiter did say she didn’t know if it was sourdough or not..) and toppings revolting just covered in gunk like something a kid puts together after a bad day in the kitchen.

Just weird and expensive and not what vegan eating is about (celebration, exploring, plenitude and gratitude).

Disappointing. Would never go back. Dog was welcomed though so maybe two stars is just about ok.

3.5 stars - Good but small portions

It was the first time we went to the Cambridge restaurant after having been regular customers of the cafe they used to have in the Cambridge city centre
The food is still good but the portions were smaller and the prices a bit higher
We used to be moderately full with 1 dish and very full with 1.5 dishes each, today we had 1.5 each and left feeling hungry
I was also a bit confused by the fact that on the bill it added 10% of “discretionary service charge” but it wasn’t possible to choose to remove it, which was a little confusing for a discretionary charge
Overall I think that the food is good and I would like to try some other dishes but it’s not a place I would frequent as regularly as I did when they had the cafe, and due to the smaller portions I feel that it would be a little expensive to have a filling meal

Pros: Lots of variety, Good dishes

Cons: Smaller portions than they used to, Ends up being a little pricier

Lovely place for Vegan / Gluten-free

I’m Vegan/Gluten-free , so I rang first to see if they accommodate my requirements, they were helpful so we tried the place last night .
My husband is a Veggie he ordered the Dirty burger chunky chips ( which were a little hard ) it looked very nice and very tasty.
I had the chips ( mine were hard) The broccoli was lovely and the veg really lovely as well very tasty . The only reason I give it a four star is mine was a little cold and I thought it was a little expensive . Staff very nice and the place looked clean !

Pros: Lots of options for gluten-free / Vegan , Friendly , Clean

Cons: Slightly expensive , Food could be warmer , Cook the chips for longer

Great bowls

Beautiful green interior and cool mobil code menu. They also shows you a CO2 impact of your food plate! It’s just amazing concept of vegan restaurant. #Veganuary

Pros: Great food choices

Reliably Delicious

I've been to Stem and Glory many times and have never been disappointed by the quality of their food. The staff are always lovely and friendly.
Recently, I went to their Burns Night which was beyond what I expected. The set menu didn't fill me with excitement as it was heavy on leeks, potatoes, turnips and haggis as one would expect but even so I knew I was in safe hands with Stem and Glory. They have a fantastic talent for making the ordinary extraordinary.
I left happy and full vowing to enjoy another Burns Night with them next year. #Veganuary

Pros: All vegan menu, Lots of variety, Fresh and helthy

Cons: Some plates are small for their price, Not in the most convenient location for locals

Gloriously plant based

Celebrated our last hour in Cambridge here for my Boyfriend’s birthday. We loved the ambiance and that everything was vegan.

Pros: Everything vegan, Large portions, Great ambiance

Cons: A bit expensive, The mains could’ve been more tasty, The dessert was too sweet and overwhelming

Great Full English Breakfast

We visited Stem & Glory and had the vegan full breakfast, it was really nice, I particularly liked the tofu scramble and the chickpeas, you get a good amount of sourdough toast too. I also had a coconut milk latte which was delicious.

Expected more

As a vegan restaurant I expected way more. They claim to be plant based and they claimed not to have crudités for the hummus. They said they didn’t have any carrots nor peppers or other veggie to dip!!!
Apart from that the price was extreme for such small portions and the rice we ordered was almost not edible.
To finish my review I want to complain about the time taken to serve the food: 1h!! And it was a Tuesday so I don’t want to imagine how weekends can be when the restaurant is full.

Pros: Vegan restaurant

Cons: Expensive , Slow , No veggies to dip in a plant based restaurant

Disappointing

After seeing a ton of glowing reviews I booked a table at Stem and Glory on a trip to Cambridge.

We were really underwhelmed with the food. It was hastily thrown together and almost flavourless?

I had the Tofu Yakitori and it was incredibly bland - the soup/vegetable broth was very plain and the tofu was just fine.

The cauliflower wings were under cooked and totally overpowered by the BBQ sauce slathered over them.

To top it all off, our cocktails were half measures (literally half a tumbler) and tasted really amateur.

Overall I would avoid this place until they’ve had a chance to refine their processes.

It’s a shame because plant based is the future and this restaurant was incredibly lazy.

Pros: All vegan, Modern

Cons: Bland , Expensive for what we were served, Very bright decor.

Very Disappointing

After reading reviews I had high hopes but I was very disappointed in bland and careless food.

The concept of the menu and dishes were interesting but the way it tasted was well below what I would consider average to be.

Cauliflower wings which were soggy and underseasoned.
Black fettuccine was overcooked and bland. No amount table salt could rescue.

I had possibly the worst weak gin bramble with no berries (if you know, you know...).

Pros: Everything was vegan, Lovely decor

Cons: Disappointing food, Expensive

Great cafe

Great little cafe, close to the train station. Selections is good and portion is more than most would offer. All were delicious. Prices is slightly on the high side but well worth it.

Very good

Surprisingly big. portions for such a chic restaurant. Tofu curry, pizza and cheese cake were excellent (although cheesecake portion was adequate rather than generous). Service was flawless. A bit pricey but justified. Whilst not superb or outstanding, all the same was very good indeed. Thank you.

Cool plant restaurant next to station

Very cool minimalist looking restaurant. Nice menu with lots of choice. I had the bon bon bowl which was fresh and delicious. My friend had the burger and fries. The burger was pretty good but the fries weren't fries at all, the we're roast potatoes which was disappointing.

The service wasn't great though, not terrible just not particularly friendly or welcoming.

Pros: All vegan menu, Clean fresh interior, Healthy fresh food

Cons: Service without a smile

Nice but expensive

We enjoyed a brunch here just before our wedding and the banana bread was delicious. The food is good and obviously made with good ingredients but it can be a bit expensive for what it is.

Nice menu, modern setting

Great new premises near the station, very modern with well spaced tables and also tables outside on large pavement. Was ideal to meet with family and a nice choice of dishes on the menu. We didn’t have room for desserts too, although the ones on show all looked lovely.

Style over substance

Really disappointing PB restaurant. Our last last night in Cambridge so we’d thought we’d give a full PB place a go but this is what gives us PBers a bad name. The food was flavourless and disguised by a mountain of black rice. The uneaten food was comp’d to be fair but do not recommend at all. Staff friendly but incompetent too.

Delicious food, fantastic staff

The restaurant is only serving outside at the moment to keep things safe, but the staff are amazingly helpful, attentive and friendly. The menu has a great selection of dishes with different cuisines so there is something for everyone. We had fantastic cauliflower ‘buffalo’ wings to start and squash Goan curry for main. I finished with indulgent chocolate and hazelnut tart. All really delicious and a lovely bottle of Rioja to go with it. Highly recommended!

Pros: All vegan, Lots of choice , Brilliant staff
