Separate vegan menu - Edit
My husband found this pub using the Happy Cow app. It is in a lovely village just outside Clitheroe. Plenty of parking spaces.

There’s a separate vegan menu with plenty of choice. I opted for the mushroom stroganoff with a choice of rice, chips or both!! I chose both, who wouldn’t. You could tell it was made to order as it took a while but was worth the wait. Portions huge.
My non vegan husband opted for the homemade cheese and onion pie which he enjoyed.
On the dessert menu, again a great choice. We shared an enormous jam roly poly with ice cream.
I’d definitely eat here again.

Nice food, well worth a visit - Edit
Called into Calf’s Head with family today. They have a vegan menu with a variety of vegan starters, main meals and desserts.
Read moreI opted for olives to start with and my husband chose the garlic mushrooms, both starters were lovely.
I then chose the Quinoa, beetroot and edamame burger which I really enjoyed, the burgers and bun was delicious, it also came with chips and a fresh side salad.
There was so much food I had the take some home for later.
The only qualm I had was the burger didn’t come with any kind of sauce, mayo or salsa. I asked if there was any vegan mayonnaise I could have with my meal but I was told that they didn’t have any.
The staff were friendly, polite and efficient, well worth a visit.

I had the beetroot and quinoa burger from the vegan menu. It was nice. They were also very accommodating to my son who has multiple allergies.
