Lovely cafe which is now meat free from 1st Jan (and the owner said they have bought new oven trays and panini press etc so no meat has been on the kit either).

Great place for parkrunners - Edit
We’ve just been to this place for post parkrun refreshments and we were very impressed. It’s a vegetarian cafe with a predominantly vegan menu. The vegan breakfast was great and we were given a discount for being parkrunners. They also had a great selection of (mostly) vegan cakes. We would definitely recommend this place and we look forward to coming here again.

One of the besy vegan cafes I've been to - Edit
Great choices on the menu and great food. Owner really knows her stuff and is happy to make recommendations. There aren't many nice meat alternative burgers out there, but the cheeseburger was lovely!

Amazing to have a veggie/ vegan cafe in Spennymoor - Edit
Really encouraging to have a veggie/ vegan place in Spennymoor. It was also brilliant to see how busy they were mid-afternoon on a Saturday.

The owners seemed like thoroughly decent people and had a selection of leaflets available promoting animal charities.

Great for vegans - Edit
I often call in for a vegan breakfast which includes vegan bacon and black pudding and is good value for money. The cafe is reducing the meat menu to go veggie and hopefully fully vegan. Good range of mains and has at least one vegan cake. Now open on a Sunday.

Called in for the first time today, and so glad we did.Although we missed the vegan breakfast, which finishes at 11.30 there were still lots of vegan food to be had.I opted for the Bbq 'chicken' panini while Mrs opted for the Coronation 'chicken' version. The mousse like dressing that accompanied mine was superb.

We opted to share the vegan chocolate cake for dessert which was rich, light, and perfectly sweetened.

Excellent - Edit
Always a delight to be here. Had a spicy tomato and bean soup with a vegan cheese sandwich which I paid £6 for. It must be said that the portion size was decent and the food was incredible. The decor inside the place was quirky and the staff are always friendly. Would highly recommend.

A real hidden gem - Edit
As our daughters have studied and lived in Durham for the past 10 years we have driven past Spennymoor on the main road dozens of times but never thought to take a detour into the town centre. Looking for somewhere for a vegan lunch whilst out and about today we found Caffe No 3 on Happy Cow and what a great place it is. OK it's not a vegan or even veggie eaterie and it doesn't pretend to be but it clearly wants to promote plant-based eating. A great range of vegan options from soup to cakes and a lot of it homemade. The service was fantastic - friendly and polite, the food arrived promptly and was piping hot and delicious. Looking forward to an early return!

Cosy Caffè - Edit
Delightful and very welcoming cafe with a nice atmosphere and large vegan menu. We decided to order the loaded cheeseburger with sides from the specials board and I must say it's one of the finest cheeseburgers I have ever eaten. The double burger, cheese and side of bacon was excellent, as was the salad. We also ordered the country bumpkin light bite for our son, which included sour dough, hummus and salad. He didn't eat much of it, not that we were complaining, as we finished it off. Mmm... delicious. For dessert we also both got the chocolate fudge cake, which was so light and tasty. This was our first trip to Spennymoor but certainly not our last after todays food.

Visited this venue a number of times now and we are never disappointed. We’ve enjoyed the afternoon tea, set menus, lunch, snacks and full breakfast. The service is always great and food and drinks delicious. The vegan owner Tracy and her team goes out of their way to make sure everyone’s diverse needs are catered for. Highly recommended - would have left 5 stars if I could

Worth the drive! Lovely place, food, and people! - Edit
I came all the way from Durham (you can take the bus here) to try the vegan options - and it was more than worth it! Would give five stars if it were possible, and hopefully soon will be since the lovely owner is planning on changing to a fully vegan menu soon! The atmosphere is nice and relaxing, the service is on point and quick (even in busy times), and the owner is such a lovely and kind person! A lot of locals come here on a daily basis because of her friendly being (and of course the food)!😉I recommend supporting the owner and her Café - I myself will definitely come here on a regular basis because I love it!

3 is the Magic Number - Edit
A heartwarming visit between Christmas and New Year. It’s been a very long time since I was last in Spennymoor but Caffé No. 3 was worth the effort today. There was a slightly reduced menu due to the festive period but still plenty of vegan choice available. We had a scone delightfully served served with jam, cream and spread and a truly delicious wrap filled with falafel, sweet potato, hummus and beetroot with a side of pickled beetroot and some nachos. The accompanying pot of tea with soya milk was perfectly bold. The kind of tea I’d like to master at home, but can never can get right. Must be the water. My next visit to Spennymoor may be sooner than expected.
