Peshto Sammich - Edit
I got the Pesto Breakfast Sandwich with hashbrown and sausage. If you wanted a loaded, hefty, food item, the pesto added with other stuff is your best bet. Along with your food, you get a healthy serving of activism and and community building.

Great inclusive cafe! - Edit
Delicious food and coffee. I really enjoyed their oat milk mocha. The pesto sandwich is very flavorful too! I also really appreciate the pro-Palestine support because human rights are just as important animal rights.

Great breakfast spot - Edit
I had the pesto breakfast sandwich and it came out fast, hot, and so sticky I had would have wondered if the cheese was vegan. Impressive! Kind but distracted counter service, but the place is about as cheap as vegan food in Seattle gets so it’s all good.

Lovely vegan meal! - Edit
We enjoyed our lunch at Cafe Red, especially the mac and cheese! The menu is small, but what we had was very good. We were surprised though that we couldn’t customize anything - it sounds like they pre-make everything. The outdoor seating was spacious and warm!

Vegan breakfast cafe - Edit
Got the masala chai which was fine, not very flavorful. Also got the bacon breakfast sandwich which was tasty. Be warned, it is served very hot! Ate on the patio which was nice, since it's on the other side of the building away from the main street is not too busy/loud though you can still hear the light rail when it goes by. Outdoor patio has heaters for when it's cold. There is a small amount of seating inside. Bathroom was clean and spacious.
Read morePros: Good vegan food, Easy to find free street parking, Near public transport
Cons: Loud since right next to the light rail station

BEST VEGAN MAC N CHZ - Edit
The staff is awesome!! This lil Leftie feels v welcome there. But to the point: When i say the Mac n Chz is the best vegan m&c i've ever had...It's perfect. 15/10 no notes. I'm kind of a snob re: mac 'n chz, and this is the creamiest, tastiest, most spot-on! My partner had a b-fast sammie and said it was delicious (he added a hash brown patty avocado).
Read moreDrinks are awesome and it's great to know they all come vegan right off the bat you can still change the vegan milk to a different kind if you want. Patio is awesome! Street parking is behind the restaurant.
Pros: MAC AND CHEESE 🤤, Drinks , Amazing staff! 🥰

Best vegan breakfast in Seattle - Edit
My favorite breakfast vegan place in seattle, and honestly probably favorite vegan place in general. I love the pesto breakfast sandwich, with a hashrown patty added in. Their drinks are tasty, too!

We were surprised at how quickly our food came out considering how packed this place was on a rainy Saturday morning. Reasonably priced and tasty. Would recommend!

Cute outdoor space, tasty food - Edit
I had a pesto breakfast sandwich and a seasonal pumpkin chai. Both were fantastic! The breakfast sandwich had some hot peppers, so a bit of a kick, but I'm sure you can request no peppers.
Read moreThe outdoor space is huge! And half of it is covered. It's ok to have your dog with you on the patio.
Parking is limited. I parked on the smaller street behind the cafe and entered the cafe from that side (the patio side).
Pros: Yummy food and chai, Fabulous patio
Cons: Scant parking

Big Patio, Small Cafe - Edit
The inside of this cafe is pretty small and very loud making ordering and getting out of the way of workers working very difficult. I ordered a vanilla oat latte (small with 4 shots) and the Bakon Brekkie Sando all the while shuffling in and out of the way of several people and repeating myself with an elevated voice because of the several convos happening at once in the compact space. When I received my latte it didn’t have vanilla because they didn’t hear me but they added a little vanilla for me.
Read moreMy band I opted to eat our food on the spacious patio which def seems to be bigger than the cafe interior. The sando was very good. I particularly loved the flavor of the tofu bakon.
Pros: Flavorful food , Spacious outdoor seating area , 100% vegan
Cons: Kinda pricey , Small interior , Very loud

Cafe Red is rad! - Edit
I used to think their pesto breakfast sandwich was thee best breakfast sandwich in Seattle, but it lost some oomph after they started distributing them to other cafes. It’s still good, but my partner + I share food, so I’ve tasted almost everything on their current menu + the bacon breakfast burrito is my current fave. I’m picky about bacon + they nailed it. The housemade sausage is hella great too. Really, you can’t go wrong.

Really greasy. - Edit
I was really disappointed coming here, it felt like veganized mcdonalds food. My husband and I shared the breakfast burrito and breakfast sandwich. I was shocked at how small the portions were when they arrived, because based on the price I thought they'd be bigger. Disappointed that everything was in to-go papers even though we ate in. The ambiance was really fun, I just thought it was way too greasy and overpriced.
