I am newly vegan and the taste of this food was out of this world. It had so much flavor. The portions were great and the variety of options was perfect. The staff/owner was so friendly and helped us a lot with options and even educating us a bit more. This place had such a warm and positive vibe to it. I would fly all the way back here just to eat with them again! The English breakfast and the carrot cake muffin were to die for!!

I had the banana/mint/aldmond milk smoothie and a tomato-avocado-vegan cheese toast. Both were awesome. The cheese on the toast was incredible and home made by the cook.

Visited this place with my friend. The staff were very lovely and friendly! We had the lasagne and it was perfection to my taste! Cozy atmosphere, cat themed decoration and amazing food and service. Cannot complain and 100% recommend.

Looooved it! Our taste buds were in heaven. We had the lasagna, pumpkin soup, fried konjag rings and English breakfast. All so satisfying. 🙏 The place is cozy and warm and the CactusCat people are the kindest. Very much recommended!

Me and my big group of 7 couldn't stop coming back here on our trip to barca. Lovely atmosphere, lovely food and lovely host in Carlos. Cant believe the food is all vegan and all so tasty. This is my 3rd time in barcelona and ill make sure if I'm ever to come again this place is top on my list!

My Barcelona happy place - Edit
Looking for vegan food in Barcelona I stumbled upon the CactusCat Bar half an hour before they were about to close. Nevertheless it was the easiest thing to order food and even dessert afterwards. If I had wanted to, I could have stayed even longer, despite them being officially closed already for more than half an hour.
Read moreI took the combo, which consists of an extremly delicious salad, bread, and one of four meals that change monthly. The food was really nice, as was the freshly pressed apple-mint juice. The carrot-cup-cake served with spirulina-topped coconut cream was just lovely.
This place is definitly my favourite spot in Barcelona - the waiter(/owner?) and the cook are both really welcoming, nice and friendly and - you can tell that they are passionate about what they do.
Another plus: CactusCat Bar has non-binary restrooms! And the decoration and I just love the decoration and the details of the bar.
I have enjoyed being there so much, that I have returned 3 more times - every single time was a delight.

Best breakfast in Barcelona! - Edit
My husband and I both fell absolutely in love with this place. We ate here 3 out of the 4 days we were in the city. I had the Fideuá the first time, which was really delicious, but the main star was the English breakfast. After trying that, we made a point to visit each morning for that dish the rest of our trip. The tofu eggs were really great, and the sausages are the best vegan sausages we've ever had. (Do not go to Eqvilibrivm Cafe for this dish - it seems they took CactusCat's idea, but no where near executes it as well.) One of the owners (didn't catch name, unfortunately) was an absolute pleasure to talk to. Service was stellar, as was the food. Dreaming of the next chance we get to visit so we can try more of the menu. The amazing reviews do not lie - highly recommend!

We went here twice in 3 days, the food was phenomenal, huge focus on flavours and also presentation was really nice. A great mix of dish types including traditional local cuisine, brunch, lasagne, Vietnamese rolls. We had 6 dishes and each was delicious and different from the last. Portions were just right and price is fair. We especially loved the side salad which wasn’t just a standard sad wilting leaves and unripe tomato, it was beautiful kale, seeds, fruity dressing. The owner was one of the nicest people I’ve met and the chef was really sweet too, we felt really well tended to and got some knowledge about local things to do. Unfortunately our bikes were stolen while we ate (bring bikes inside if you go there!) so our experience ended on a bad note but even through that awful experience they looked after us, offered to call the police, offered us to use the phone/internet etc. Can’t recommend highly enough, best experience we had in Barcelona.

We had the smoothie and juice of the day, and they were both amazing! Made in the moment and with fresh ingredients. We shared a vegan english breakfast and it was a great choice, because honestly I could not have eaten all of it by myself, there was so much delicious food💗will definitely come back!

We came across this place through happy cow and we are so glad we did! We have been here 3 times in the two days we were in Barcelona the food is utterly amazing the best vegan breakfast I have ever had every dish we have had has been superb the staff are so attentive and knowledgable will be back every time we visit. We had a selection of the tapas with the all day breakfast. The carpaccio was so so good! All food really excellent and friendly staff. A really nice ambience. We also had the croquettes and mushroom quiches which were delicious. The black tea also great (and I'm a somewhat fussy English tea drinker!). Highly recommend!! Would go back all the time if I was a local.
