Nice but a little expensive - Edit
I tried the vanilla and peanut butter rooibos, the pecan pie, and a double espresso.
Read moreEverything was very good, but I just wish there was no extra charge for the guest coffee, considering the base price of the coffee isn't cheap.

Mkayyyy - Edit
Soooo I got:
Read morePraline Chocolate iced 6€
The iced was a huge mistake, I don't know why I keep doing that, as I already thought this would happen beforehand: The 6 ice cubes obviously completely water down the drink which is very unfortunate here. I could only enjoy the forst few sips and then I couldn't finish it as it tasted straight like water.
Another mistake: I didn't add an extra espresso shot, because this drink definitely needs one. The milk tastes very neutral and as soon as the (veryy delicious) nut butter is gone/mixed in the drink is pretty flavourless. Wasted potential. So I recommend: heated, extra espresso shot.
Matcha Cake (?€)
It was okay - not dry, not fudgy, decent taste and tasty cream
Matcha Butter Cup (?€)
Recommend!!! You can't really do anything wrong here. Melty matcha chocolate shell with a rich nut butter filling. Delicious.
EDIT:
Le Buddy 6€
Swookie 3,50€
For this visit I'd give 5/5 stars, so I changed it from 3 to 4. That shows how different experiences can be when ordering something different!
The drinks is their most basic and popular option - it's amazing. Milky coffee with PB.
The cookie was sauuurrrr gooood. Dipped in the drink it became a soft perfection full of chocolate and nut butter.
But I did have a weird experience, the two women working there attempted to steal/keep my charger after asking if I could charge my airpods in the back.. anyways, irrelevant to the food so I won't tell that story here😄

Definitely a Matcha Buddy! - Edit
Honestly, I thought Buddy Buddy might end up being a bit of a flop, since it definitely has the vibe of an “Instagram spot.” But I’m so glad I gave it a chance - wow, I was completely blown away!
Read moreDuring my time in Brussels, I had Matcha nearly every day, and Buddy Buddy’s was by far the best I tried. I still dream about it!
Their Matcha Buddy isn’t just made with high-quality ceremonial matcha and oat milk - it also has peanut butter mixed in. At first, I couldn’t imagine how peanut butter (which I normally love) could possibly work in a matcha drink… but it’s honestly the perfect secret formula. Absolutely delicious!
I also tried the Matcha Butter Cup and a Pain au Chocolat, both of which were divine.
Although I was a bit sad that they only offer sweet treats and nothing savory, everything I tried totally won me over. You can really taste the French influence in the pastries and flavors.
One thing I regret is not buying any of their nut butters to take home. They all sounded amazing, but I just couldn’t decide which one to choose - and sadly, we didn’t make it back on the following days.
The café has quite a bit of seating inside and outside, but it was still pretty packed most of the time, as lots of people were grabbing things to go. We were lucky to arrive just before a long line started forming - and it only kept growing. They also have a water station where you can refill your glass for free, which was amazing and much needed in the heat!
It’s definitely not a hidden gem anymore, but it’s absolutely worth the hype. A big recommendation if you get the chance to visit!

Great vegan coffee spot with a stylish vibe - Edit
Buddy Buddy is a beautiful café with a strong focus on coffee, nut butters and design. I stopped by for coffee and really enjoyed the oat milk cappuccino with almond butter – smooth, well-balanced, and expertly made.
Read moreThe interior is gorgeous and minimal, though it can get a bit busy and loud during peak times. Service was friendly. It is a bit expensive.

Weak Coffee, Cute Cafe - Edit
Given that this place primarily serves coffee, we had very high hopes.
Read moreUnfortunately we were let down, as the coffee was very weak. Was more like oat milk with a hint off coffee.
The presentation was beautiful, but paying €4.5 for a cup of hot milk left much to be desired.
The cafe itself is very cute, nice interior, and lovely music. The pastries looked good, but they only had four options and they were quite pricey.
Pros: Interior, Music, Lovely staff
Cons: Weak coffee, Expensive

Only sweets - Edit
I didn't like the interior of the place, it didn't seem cosy. They only had sweet pastries and no savoury food. I had a cookie and some puff pastry with liquid chocolate on top. Eating that ended in a mess of course but it was tasty. However the choice was small and I would not visit again.

Greasy, salty, sugary - Edit
I’m not quite sure why this venue is so acclaimed. It feels to me like it’s famous for being famous. There are many other fully vegan bakeries in Brussels who do the same or better and for less. The products are presented as museum pieces and, though I understand it’s an art to make good baked goods, the one cookie I tried was greasy, salty and sugary. It should be a treat, not the first step to a cardiovascular medical appointment.

Delicious almond butter chai - Edit
I knew Buddy Buddy since I had gone to their Paris store but I liked this one in Brussels much more. I tried the almond butter chai which was fabulous. Prices are expensive but you pay for the quality. The wifi is not great though, wasn’t really working (very slow internet)

Delicious but sterile - Edit
The drinks are delicious but honestly anything made out of nut butter is so that’s easy 😉 it has a nice vibe but extremely boutique style, it feels like someone needs to throw a party here, introduce some chaos, make it less manicured and then it would feel more human.
