Fantastic vegan eatery!

The staff are wonderful and the atmosphere is cozy. I wish I could have gone again. I had the pumpkin biscuit breakfast sandwich, which was well seasoned and delicious, with a London Fog. I bought a quiche to bring on my travels where there'd be few vegan options. My trip home was delayed by a day and somehow the quiche stayed good. I made two meals of out of it.

Yummy rich baked food.

This place converted a Brit to American biscuit. Decadent hearty food with a great all day breakfast menu!

Pros: Large array of options, Home cooked food

Cons: Ambiance

As good as everyone says it is!

Delicious and 100% vegan. On my next New Orleans visit, I will stay at the hotel across the street so this restaurant is even more convenient!

Pros: Friendly service, Delicious, fresh baked goods, Welcoming decor, feels like a home

Cons: Line of customers (be patient)

Amazing Vegan Bakery & Cafe!

Good find when visiting NOLA!! The brioche donuts are irresistible and they also have all day breakfast, sandwiches, soups, and tons of breads, all which are vegan!

I tried the lemon curd brioche (8/10), the almond funfetti brioche (10/10), the cinnamon roll with nuts (5/10) , the matcha latte (7/10), and the Egg O vegan biscuit sandwich with egg and bacon (8/10). Definitely give this place a try!!

Come Hungry

Make sure to come hungry because there are so many tempting options to try! I had the Pumpkin Cheddar Biscuit and WOW - the tofu scramble it comes with was whipped and creamy, best tofu scramble I have had. The biscuit was delicious as well - not dry like some biscuits tend to be. I also had a cinnamon roll and rumbles which I highly recommend! Only disappointing things were the staff (who clearly did not want to be there) and the drip coffee, I would opt try one of their specialty coffees next time. I plan to check out the other location in the future!

Great vegan breakfast options. And pastries.

All vegan, I think. Particularly good for breakfast. The donuts and other pastries look impressive. And the staff could have a serious coffee discussion.

Best I've Had Yet - ANYwhere!

This is by FAR some of the BEST I've had ANYwhere, and for as long as I can remember. In other words, yes, that includes in NYC where, as I always say, we're spoiled for choice when it comes to Vegan options, INCLUDING organic, ethically sourced, etc.
The bread here (as the name implies) is baked in-house and is as light yet satisfying as any high-quality I've ever tasted. If you ever find yourself in "New-awlins" you MUST come here!

Pros: All menu items are Vegan, Organic, and Sustainable, Organic, Multigrain Bread Baked in-house , Light, yet satisfying fare

Couldn't stop going!

We were in New Orleans for 7 days in a hotel a few blocks away, and we ate breakfast here 6 times, only missing the day it was closed. The meals and pastries were all amazing and we were especially hooked on the lemon strawberry donut and the blueberry biscuit

Pros: cute postcards and merch, friendly and helpful staff

Best!!!

We were visiting NOLA and we wanted to try their traditional food but vegan. So we were exploring around. We came to Brad on Oak on our last day and I wish I would have gone since the first day because I would have been eating here breakfast, lunch and dinner. We had great service and food.

Pros: Desert, Gluten free options, Best potatoes ever!!!

Cons: More potatoes, More potatoes , More potatoes

Had to try Breads On Oak out. All the baked goods looked really good. Went for the Boston Cream Brioche. Really good! Soft, creamy & chocolaty.

I’m blown away

I always loved the “vegan boulangerie” concept, and this is the best one by far I’ve been to. I had their Creole Omelette Toast and it was amazing, their coffee was great, and my party hasn’t dug into the king cake we bought yet but I have high hopes.

AMAZING food

Came here twice during our stay in NOLA because the food is just so good. The cinnamon roll was out of this world and all the sandwiches were great too. Staff was very friendly too. I only wish they had real cups for the coffee and not just the to go cups.

Best sandwich I ever ate

Went here on a Sunday morning - couldn't believe everything was plant-based! Quick line and quick sandwich-making. They had several incredible-looking iced pastries, some healthier oat-based pastries, and a bunch of sandwich options.

When I saw the sandwich with green olives, "bacon", "ham", and "provolone" I was smitton (the "Muffanada"). It was the best sandwich I've ever eaten.

Pros: open early on a Sunday, quick and friendly service, huge variety of plant based options

Sandwiches and cookies

The pumpkin cheddar biscuit sandwich was to die for. Truly special. The service was a little slow - they seemed understaffed - but definitely worth the wait. Also the first place I've found vegan shortbread cookies.

The biscuits are dangerous

Yes, you need to go to Breads on Oak. The biscuits are sooo good, you’ll want to devour a dozen on the spot. #Veganuary

A must try for vegans

I stopped here for lunch and got a muffanada. It was fine. I wasn't crazy about the choice of bread. I had a peanut butter blondie, which was great.

The magic happened when I went for breakfast. The pumpkin cheddar biscuit was amazing. I also had a Boston cream and cafe au lait. Fantastic!

The people working there got busy and didn't have time for chit chat, but when it died down they were very friendly and made sure we were satisfied with everything.

If I come back to New Orleans, I will be back.
