Go here for dim sum!

This is my new favorite dim sum place in NYC. They are very gluten free friendly and have tamari for you if you are gluten free. They also have multiple gluten free items that are clearly marked on their menu. The dim sum was delicious, and I am definitely going back for more. I love this place.

Pros: great dim sum, quick

Mooncakes!

It’s so hard to find vegan mooncakes anywhere in the US, so when we found this place a couple years ago, it was such a find and we have gotten mooncakes during the Mid-Autumn Festival every year ever since. Highly recommend!

Great for groups. Delicious

I brought my family here and everyone enjoyed it immensely. The standouts were the BBQ veg meat, bbq pastries, char siu. I would pass on the soup dumplings

Fantastic

Haven’t had Chinese in a really long time because there just isn’t much in my neck of the woods but this was 10/10. Best I’ve ever had for sure

I no longer have socks

This blew my socks off. Great service gets you in very quickly.

Pros: Turnip cake was very soft, Congee was a great starter

Cons: Tea felt watered down, Taro dumpling was not fantastic

Must-go restaurant in NYC

Absolutely delicious! The service was very fast and the portions generous. You need to go there if you like asian food. There were so many options in the menu that I couldn’t choose. But try the vegan chicken!

Loved the food here! Good prices and portions with a ton of food options. Will definitely be back.
No reservations so prepare to wait a bit for a bigger group at busy times

Always love when I have the opportunity to have dim sum. Ordered a whole bunch of different things. Enjoyed the sticky rice in lotus leaf, siu mai, and steamed beancurd roll

My NYC staple!

Whenever I’m in the city, I’ve got to visit Bodhi Kosher at least once. Large dim sum menu and with a lot of creative dishes. Almost everything I’ve tried from the menu has been delicious — especially the soup dumplings!! The service is also extremely fast for what is often a crowded restaurant, and the food is relatively cheap. You can’t go wrong!

Pros: Yummy yummy food, Friendly, attentive staff, Fast service

Best Vegan Dim Sum

This is an amazing gem in Chinatown NY, I haven’t had Dim Sum in 4 years since I became vegan, but this place has created all the amazing dishes that I missed— just veganized! My non vegan fiancé thoroughly enjoyed the BBQ veg meat dish, even though he said every single dish was worth going vegan over :).

Him and I ate about 7 different dim sum dishes and we were stuffed, and the grand total of our bill was $50. Also our cups of waters were never empty once, they were amazing with the refills and clearing our dirty plates to make room for more food.

If you have an opportunity to check this place out, please do!

Pros: Authentic Dim Sum taste, Great prices, Hospitable service

probably my new favorite takeout spot

I’d been wanting to try this place for a while now, and I couldn’t be gladder I did. After I tried it the first time, I ordered it again for days after—trying something new every time. I’ve tried a bunch of different menu items now, and there’s still so much I want to try because it’s such a huge menu. It’s affordable and their vegan bbq pork (or char siu) is to die for. I have yet to be disappointed by one thing on their menu.

So so so so good

This place is amazing. It is all vegan (despite the confusing vegetarian name) and has a separate gluten free menu with a lot of options. The food was really delicious and portions were decent. Reasonably expensive but probably cheaper than a lot of places in new york.

Just awesome

I always struggle with a menu that has more than two choices! The food is so packed with flavour. Never having tried dim sum before, we tentatively ordered a few. Taste bud explosion! The staff are so friendly and helpful. This is a real gem in the heart of Chinatown. Highly recommended!

Simple and delicious

Enjoyed a great meal herecrispy duck appetizer and tofu with basil for main were both full of flavour, and the Chinese broccoli with garlic was delicious. No gimmicks, just well-executed, tasty food. Great value. Would happily come back.,

vegan, delicious and very fair prices

Yes, all vegan! We ordered iced tea, tofu veg, noodles and fried "chicken" bites. All very tasty, and quite filling for a fair price ( free tea)! I regret that i can't try everything ☺️

Pros: Fully vegan, yay! :), So tasty!, affordable/filling

Satisfied Years of Longing for Dim Sum

First of all, for the amount of food you get it's very cheap. The ma po tofu and radish cakes were slight misses but those were outshined to an insane degree by the fried taro, char siu bao, and my personal favorite - lotus leaf rice. Literally just filled the hole in my heart that was real deal dim sum.

Pros: Lotus Leaf Rice, Lotus Leaf Rice, Lotus Leaf Rice

Symphony of textures

I stumbled on this restaurant while waiting to catch a Chinatown bus, and it was so satisfying. I was alone and ordered three medium-sized dim sum plates: spinach rice roll, steamed curry dumplings, and vegetarian chicken bean curd roll. Each brought a different set of textures, ranging from simple to complex, and the cumulative effect was both elemental and symphonic. It was more food than I could eat, and the bill was still less than $20. The place was packed and service was courteous and efficient. Next time, I will return with friends so I can sample more of the menu.

ABSOLUTELY LOVED

One of the best Chinese vegan restaurants in Chinatown. The portions are generous so it’s a good idea to go with multiple people to try as many dishes as possible! Looking forward to going back and trying their dim sum.

it was really really bad

i’m vegan and love chinese food and mock meats. but this was absolutely awful. the broccoli wasnt cooked, the beef tasted like chemicals , everything tasted off, the plates and cup were dirty and they got me a new cup but that was also dirty. this was the second worst nyc food experience i’ve ever had

Updated from previous review on 2025-05-20

Cons: cleanliness, chemical tasting beef
