Satisfied Years of Longing for Dim Sum - Edit
First of all, for the amount of food you get it's very cheap. The ma po tofu and radish cakes were slight misses but those were outshined to an insane degree by the fried taro, char siu bao, and my personal favorite - lotus leaf rice. Literally just filled the hole in my heart that was real deal dim sum.

Symphony of textures - Edit
I stumbled on this restaurant while waiting to catch a Chinatown bus, and it was so satisfying. I was alone and ordered three medium-sized dim sum plates: spinach rice roll, steamed curry dumplings, and vegetarian chicken bean curd roll. Each brought a different set of textures, ranging from simple to complex, and the cumulative effect was both elemental and symphonic. It was more food than I could eat, and the bill was still less than $20. The place was packed and service was courteous and efficient. Next time, I will return with friends so I can sample more of the menu.

ABSOLUTELY LOVED - Edit
One of the best Chinese vegan restaurants in Chinatown. The portions are generous so it’s a good idea to go with multiple people to try as many dishes as possible! Looking forward to going back and trying their dim sum.

it was really really bad - Edit
i’m vegan and love chinese food and mock meats. but this was absolutely awful. the broccoli wasnt cooked, the beef tasted like chemicals , everything tasted off, the plates and cup were dirty and they got me a new cup but that was also dirty. this was the second worst nyc food experience i’ve ever had

¡Porciones gigantes! - Edit

We found this on the app and it did not disappoint. I’m gluten free and everything was marked online and many on the menu. They were helpful with any questions I had

A must visit - Edit
I've been here many times and it always slaps. The szechuan beef was so believable I asked them to confirm it wasn't actual beef. Even though I knew it wasn't, it was that convincing.

Not fully vegan - Edit
I have an anaphylactic dairy allergy and I went here thinking it was fully vegan. When I arrived they said that 5% of the menu had dairy (so not fully vegan). I was assured that what I ordered was dairy free but unfortunately I had a reaction and had to use the epi pen. Would not recommend if you have a severe dairy allergy like me, but otherwise the food looked and tasted delicious 😅

Oh my goodness, why is this still labeled as fully vegan here? This place has never been fully vegan if I remember correctly.

This is a Chinese Buddhism spot, for traditional Chinese Buddhism they still consume eggs and dairy , which is different than Indian Hindi. For Indian Hindi, they see eggs as a form of life already so they won’t consume eggs but they will consume dairy because the traditional way of milking cow isn’t really hurting them physically in their religion and culture. Therefore, in this spot I believe that you have to always double check if the item contains eggs or dairy. The lady will always explain to you

There is another restaurant with a similar name that is nearby and that is not 100% vegan. What things did this place admit had dairy?

Must Go. - Edit
Everything is made in house by a family that’s had these recipes for generations and generations. That alone should blow you away.
Read moreNow I went with seasoned goers of Bodhi Kosher, so I let them do all the ordering and we ordered ample dishes. But every one was a HIT. Everything.
Very lowkey traditional seating inside. Unassuming and accessible. Servers and staff were very friendly and accommodating even to one of our friends who has a severe peanut allergy.
Can’t wait to return.

Excellent vegan dim sum - yum - Edit
This place is great. It’s casual, has excellent options, everyone is courteous and the food is awesome. We got fried dumplings, dry green beans (my fave), a fried rice and a tofu/mushroom dish. Need to return for more steamed dumplings and the noodle dishes!

Cheap Flavourful Eats! - Edit
Nothing fancy here but the food was good and standard veg Chinese fare. Reasonably priced and casual. Offers plenty of Dim Sum Options. We found the tofu ribs to be gluey but the tofu corn soup a hit.
