Heaven - Edit
Malaysian franchise chain. This store has a good variety of vegan, organic, ecological and natural products, and also a restaurant with delicious Malaysian foods. Had a curry/laksa which was heavenly, fried tofu which was perfectly crispy. Clean, comfortable, high quality, and still very afforable!

Like most of the food - Edit
I liked the laksa soup. I liked the nasi lemak. The mamek noodles were just awful.
Read moreThe seating area was more than I expected, the photos here made it look like a health food store, but that's not half the store space.

Average (Hit & Miss) Franchise Store Vegetarian Food - Edit
LAST VISIT: November 2017
Read moreWhat I had: The organic harvest Salad (RM13.90), Hakka Lei Cha with Multi-grain Rice (Rm 20.90), Sweet Potato Fries (RM8.90), Aglio-Olio Orecchiette (RM17.90), Tempura Seaweed Fried Garlic Multigrain Rice (RM15.90)
As I’ve tried the BMS Organic Café in KL once before and was pleasantly surprised by my visit, I was happy when I learnt that they were opening in Penang! However, having tried their other dishes, it was a hit and miss for me. While they do offer a good and not so typical variety of Asian and western vegetarian dishes, only a couple out of the selection I tried satisfied me. The Hakka Lei Cha was disappointing with the weak Lei Cha which was served lukewarm. The Salad was alright, with a good amount of avocado and toppings. The aglio-olio was ok, nice with a hint of spice, but the portion and toppings didn’t quite justify the price. The Tempura Seaweed with Rice set was good to me, fragrant and delicious fried garlic rice with good tempura (tho I could’ve use more dipping sauce) – this is one I would recommend. Not the most healthy (being fried and all), but reasonably priced and you can’t really go wrong with this.
Overall, BMS is average, service from staff was quite lacking (slow and inattentive) and space of the café does feel a bit cram when it is at full capacity. I wouldn’t recommend a specific trip to BMS, but if you’re in the area and want some vegetarian food that isn’t of the local hawker/economy rice variety, this is an option with the convenient parking (basement parking available) as well.
Pros: Asian & Western Variety, Balanced Meals, Convenient Parking
Cons: Hit and Miss, Slow & Inattentive Service

Small eatery in BMS Organics health food store - Edit
This place is bright and clean with nice music. Not crowded. I had the Sweet and Sour Soy Cube with Multigrain Rice. It was good, particularly the rice. Portion was ok, cost 13.90 Ringgit (3.50 USD). A perfectly good choice if you're in the area.

Cons: not the value of a place like Lily's
